Guess what wrecked car this is...
Here is some pics of a wrecked RX-8 that I took.
The person is okay from what I have heard. I think they are getting another 8 though.

The person is okay from what I have been told. The car hit a telephone pole I think. I dont know exactly the all the facts on the wreck but all I can say is for everyone to be safe and drive responsibly.

Ouch nasty... good to hear the owner (+passengers?) is okay.
Must make the designers of the car, as well as us fanatics, cringe whenever they see things like this. I do games for a living, and the great thing is if they do crash - painful though it is - all you need to do is reboot.

Yeah, no way is that a telephone pole. As far as the designers, I think they'd feel pretty good about this. See how intact the passenger compartment is, esp the front seats? And check out the crumple zone just forward of the windshield in the profile shot of the car... I'd say everything performed just as intended to keep the pax safe and cozy.

I hope those involved are OK. BTW, the pic that shows the front passenger side wheel. If you look at it closer you can see the wheel is broken several places. He must have hit a curb or something as well.

There is a white plastic tubing that is sticking out of the back....the wire from the telephone pole cut the rear end and left the tubing jammed in the car. Form the pics its hard to tell but if you look at it in person you can see where the cable went through the trunk.
I wonder if insurance will total it?

I think the car held up very well from the photo's. The passenger compartment looks untouched. That's what it's meant to do. Glad to hear the people are ok and to see that the design is solid if the time ever arises. Ok, stop wrecking them now and drive them. Thanks for the demo though.
