I'm planning on painting them gunmetal or dark bronze this weekend also. I think I might have to go with bronze, because since my car is black, painting it gunmetal without a polished lip might not look good. No contrast. But if I decide to do gunmetal, I'll post pics up for you. Good old Home Depot Rustoleum paint usually does the trick.

Here they are. It has only 1 layer of clear coat, so it will look a lot shinier after I add some more layers. In the sun, it is gunmetal...but under white light, they have an almost bronze characteristic. I'll post pics up when I mount them on my car.

I'm really happy with the way they came out. Looks even better in person.
I've had people chase me down in traffic to ask what kind of wheels I had. One guy was even driving a blue Z06 Corvette... at first, I was too busy checking out his car to realize his was pacing me in traffic yelling over to find out where I got my wheels done.
I'm in Canada, so the price info probably won't be too useful to you, but it ended up costing me about $80 Canadian or so per wheel to have them powderblasted down to bare metal and then powerdercoated. The actually powdercoated on the clear. Pretty cool.
