Exclamation SoCal Dyno Day - RESULTS (19 RX-8's)

Here it is, what we've been waiting for all day. Here's the results for today's Meet / Dyno Runs. 18 N/A's and 1 Greddy Turbo all showed off their stuff on the dyno.

Before we get to the results, I just wanted to give a HUGE Thanks to Steve at:

R&D Dyno Service
115 E Gardena Blvd
Gardena, CA 90248-2811
http://www.rddyno.com/

These guys REALLY know their stuff and did an awesome job taking care of all of us. If anyone in SoCal ever wants to dyno a car...this is where to go.

Now for the totals.... All cars had a minimum of 3 pulls on the dynojet and each car's mods are listed on the dyno graph. Not all the screenshots list the torque figures BUT they are listed below their name.

and the winner IS..... (drum roll please....)

5 Top Cars vs Bone Stock RX-8
(these are corrected #'s)

Food for thought:

4 out of 5 of these cars have Racing Beat Intake and Exhuast. Hmmm....

Mustang and Dynojet dynos put out different readings, you need to state which type

Edit: never mind, I can just make out Winpep on the sheets, it's a dyno jet

Also, one of the sheets says "Dynojet Research" centered under the SR Motorcars logo. Just one of the sheets, though.

Lot easier to compare if you do everyone by engine RPM as it looks like not everyone used the same gear.

Also wtf is wrong with Jordanjerone, actuators (runners) not opening?

true, i believe we all got print outs for engine rpm. however, some got combined sheets showing data of both hp and torque on an rpm sheet, but a lot of us got two sheets one showing whp w/ mph and another showing torque (& incorrect whp) w/ rpm.

Jedi is just showing the data for the WHP that we all got.

and jordanjerone has a completely stock automatic.

haha dude i dont have much. HKS racing suction and discontinued espelir exhaust, thats all. oh yeah and a new motor that only has about 3000 miles on it. ( its an 05 4 speed auto, the motor blew at 34xxx miles and i am at 37xxx miles right now )
ps heh also the HKS fan control module ( it helped keep my car cool for the drive to the dyno!!!)

wow great job jedi, its amazing how much pwoer is lost from crank to wheels. there are a lot of different results can you break it down a little easier with average hp and mods only? short and easy to read on one page?

Great job Jedi 54 .
This must be the first time this has been done on this scale before .
Just shows that mods really do work on our cars .

Really interesting how the top two cars are making power all the way to 120 mph wheras the others start dropping off before this .

A few of the cars look like they need new coils/plugs .

my first pull was in third gear. not very inpressive. the other two were done in fourth. those were about average with everyone else. the funny thing i did no pre work, no plugs, wire, are coils. plus i ran the cheapest gas i could find. but if i had done all of that, i'm sure my runs would have been better. i was test subject for cheap gas..................... i should have dropped in my secret formula...
