Install Mini Meet at RPM Motorsports

Well we couldn't make the Ottawa trip so....
My brother and I met up at RPM to get some parts installed; a set each of Racing Beat screens and a Racing Beat Cat-back for my car.
The installations went smoothly and the price was very reasonable.
I highly recommend using this shop if you live in the GTA and places west.

We'll get some pics and video up.

Thanks for the info...I live in kingston and i have a feeling the shop here bumps up the prices as they are the only performance shop in town. How much did you pay for these things...if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah that exhaust sounds and looks great, its definatly not too loud at all, just perfect.
The RB screens are a pretty cool idea too, not too difficult to install once you know how to pull the front bumper off lol.

Look about half way down the page at the AC condensor and oil cooler screens

How much?

How much were they and where do you get them, other than from RB site?

I ordered them from the RB site.
I seem to recall that with exchange, shipping, clearance fees etc that cost me about C$125 for the set of three but I bought them last year.

You can ask Adam at RX7 specialties in Calgary (espritauto@nucleus.com) about ordering some because he has a good import deal with RB. He got me my Rev8.

The screens are a fraction of the cost of the oil coolers or the AC condenser.

The meshes do help with keeping the big bugs off the coolers. But you'll still get some onto the coolers. It's impossible to avoid. You just have to be diligent about clearing the fins from any debris.

The only cooler I'll soon need replacement will be my oil cooler. I managed to straighten the majority of the fins, but the ones closer to the ground are practically impossible to fix. 13yrs of driving will do that to the cooler...

I'll have to look into getting duel oil coolers sometime next year or the year after...

I was more worried about rocks putting a hole in the oil coolers or AC unit

Great pics Darkbrew!

You guys go all out when it comes to the 8's... Mesh coverings for the coolers, exhaust systems to give the car extra bark... Too bad not every RX-8 is as enthusiastic as you guys are!

Can't wait to hear the car in person... probably be as loud as my car... :ccol:

Lates,

Lates,
My brother took the pics.

No way my car will be as loud as yours; My car is civilized!
