Question Out of curiosity how old are we, I am 58

Reading this forum for the last couple of weeks it seems to be a younger crowd. Please don't take offense but I was just curious as to the average age of the forum. I just bought my 2005 RX-8 and have not had a sports car since my 20's and it feels good to own one again, so I was wondering if I am wierd for my age to own one again

What gave it away? "How much should I tint my windows?", "I was owned by a Mustang"… or was it "LegHumpers Pt 2"?

I'm 48, or 336 in dog years, and bought my '05 as a balance between wants and needs. The wants were met by the overall perfomance and uniqueness of the car, and the needs were met by a usable back seat for our 10 and 12 year-old daughters. After 30,000 miles, I'm proud to say all objectives continue to be met now, as much as they were two years ago. Zoom-zoom!

46. Thought I had gotten the sports car thing out of my system, but I was wrong. It may've been being stuck in an SUV for the last 7 years. As soon as the kids were grown and out, the SUV went out along with them.

I am 26. I think it is great someone twiced my age drives the same sports car I do. When I am that old, I hope I still have great taste in cars like you, and I'm not driving a town car, lol. Or worse, a pickup truck.

I'm 26. I hope when I am in my 50s that I'll still be young enough at heart to buy sports cars. All things in moderation - including pragmatism.

While I'm sure you are one wierd dude, I doubt the 8 is the deciding factor.

31; not quite 1/2 your age.

But when you start getting close to "retirement age", imo, it's the perfect time to get back into sports cars and *****. Much more time to enjoy such toys.

I wouldn't feel weird about your age.

It's not like you're hanging out with these people in person or anything.

Besides, internet is where someone's true personality shines through. There are 17 yr olds on this forum who come off as being 30-something, and vice versa.

...and you can never be too old for sports cars

I'll join you at 58 in September. You really owe it to yourself to try an autocross with your new baby.

I'm 25. I've owned a few rear wheel drive japanese "sports cars" now, and I have discovered I have a real taste for them. Owning a rotary just seemed...natural to me.
