Cincy Meet

Date: Saturday OCTOBER 13th!!!!!

place: Ohio river front Lablond park

Time: 1pm

Directions:
from south:take 71/75 north, when you are passing downtown keep on heading for 71 north but right after you go pass the stadiums, Take Columbia parkway . From columbia parkway look for a small exit in the right where it says US 52 east (it should be right after eden park exit). once you get off the exit make aleft onto 52 east and head over couple blocks! You want to make a right onto Lumber St (which is by a church looking building) . keep going onto the parking lot by the water.

From north:
Take 71 south get off at the 3th st exit then make a right on broadway, turn right at 5th street, continue onto columbia parkway, From columbia parkway look for a small exit in the right where it says US 52 east (it should be right after eden park exit). once you get off the exit make a left onto 52 east and head over for couple blocks! Other:
bring chairs, cornholes if you have them, and anything you might think we need!
I will bring drinks and snacks for everyone .

Cruise:
it should start around 5pm we will discuss the routes there... so bring ideas if you have any!!

I was thinking maybe the
25 of august which is a saturday!
Maybe we should do it a little different from the last meet!
maybe we should meet in a more secluded place.
There is a parking lot in route 52 east which is literary 10 feet from the water of the the ohio river and 5 min from downtown.
There is a small park, so maybe we should have the meet there
get some food, play some corn hole, etc..
make it a whole day thing and then go for a race.. I mean a cruise!

Looks like a good place to meet! We just need to get alot more people to show up this time! I am down for an all day thing. Cornhole, ladder golf and grilling out sounds good to me!

We should def take a long cruise and go through downtown ciny through the hot spots!

 

LOL.... Its hard getting people to show up, huh Jeff =) Let me know if when the next meet/cruise is... I will be in Cincinnati for work alot in August. And dont let Jeff pressure you into showing up for stuff... He hardly every shows up for any of the Indy meets.... well, unless he needs somethin installed that is! Just playin with ya Jeff... We will actually be setting up local forums in our website so you Cincy boys can have a place to chat thats a bit more local.

 

Haha, your a funny guy Frank! Its all good! I want to go to the meets, but they are always scheduled at wrong times for me. For example. I cant go to the meet on Aug 11th because I will be at a family party up in cleveland for my gmas 80th bday party.

But we def need to set up a date for a meet because it will be a nice end of the summer meet before college football starts!!

 

I am going to PM the guys that showed up b-4 so can star getting organized
and getting some dates set up!

As far as a grill out and Secluded place, I'd be willing to have some people back to my place. Plenty of room to fit a few cars, nice level spots for both ladder golf and corn hole, and in inground pool if it's damn hot out. roughly 10 minutes from downtown Cincy.

The only thing about a cruise through downtwon cincy is that it would be next to impossible to keep together with all the stop and go traffic. Traffic is always a bitch in the city on the weekends too.

I'm thinkin something on the outskirts of town would be a better option for cruising if you want to do some driving rather then showing off.

There are a few nice parks over looking the skiline that would make great meeting spots as well. good op for some pics.

If the 25th is the confrimed date, it's a no go for me, we are having a anneversary party for my fiance's parents, Sunday evening would be good for me.

 

Im in for saturday or sunday. A nice scenic cruise on some back road would be nice but then turning heads would be too. Cornhole and ladder golf sounds fun. I have a cornhole set and might getting another soon. So what ever you guys decide is fine with me.

 

I agree with ROBEL82. I would love to take a nice long twisty cruise but also show off our cars alittle.

I cant meet next weekend the 11th and 12th because I will be in cleveland but anyother weekends 18th & 19th and the 25th & 26th work great for me!

 

Just to give us enough time
I think we should plan on meeting on or after the 25
plus I am having my turbo installed at the rx7store in columbus and they think it might be ready by the 20.

we should have a vote:

we have the weekend of
1) august 25th and 26th
2) September 1st and 2nd
3) Sep 8th and 9th
4) Sep 15th and 16th
5) Sep 22 and 23
6) Sep 29th and 30th

what do you think?

8th/9th - no, i'll be gone slaying the dragon
everything else, i'd have to look into.

 

How much is all that turbo stuff running you? Cost wise I mean. I can do any date except for the 1st and 2nd. I will be in FLA!!

Whenever you get the turbo on, I would love to take a ride in your 8 to see the power difference. Are they putting you on a dyno before and after the install?

I'd be willing to lead on a 80 mile loop through SE indiana if your willing to drive the extra distance.

then have people back to my place for a grill out and games pool pool side
lookin at the weather, it might not be a bad ifea to keep it pool side.

Alright, Spetember 21st is a no go for me as well, i've got a wedding to attend. But i don't think we were shooting for a friday either. I might be able to convince my boss to let me have that day off and i cold use some personal time for it.

If i do host people back to my place for the 22nd, I'll be sure to have some home brew preped for it.

Whats up guys, sry I havent put my two cents in this next meet. I am down for anything as long as it is before the 19th of september. I have been pretty busy with football so if we do it on a saturday that would be great, any other day I am swamped. Keep me posted guys.

The 8th works for me. I wont be getting back from FLA until late on the 7th but I will still make it. Put me down for the 8th!

Steven000e, what kind of mid pipe do you have? Do you know if a high flow cat will throw the CEL or void the warrenty?

Its a good one! I have had it for one month and no CEL
I just had my clutch replaced by the dealer 2 weeks ago under waranty so It didnt void my warranty!!
