If only both of these were true...

1. I was very rich

2. It was for sale

Wouldn't think twice about it

the photographer- Isaac Hernandez- clearly has his site and all pics copyrighted and he is clearly a guy trying to make a living so lets keep his pics on his site. thanks for the link- just everyone got there and look but don't bring them back here without explicit permission from Mr. Hernandez.

Thanks for the link

Why does the Furai sound like a passenger airliner between shifts? Is that like the RX8 doing engine braking with a turbine sound, but just much louder?

I wonder how far away you can hear it. I use to hear funny cars from 15+ miles away from my home.

I demultiplexed the audio and put it on a cd, and drove to my local
RX8 meet. I was going to show them up with my 16X engine.

Well, to make this short, when I drove by them and hit the play button
on the dash unit, everyone pointed and laughed at me.

I got out of my vehicle, and started yelling "16X FTW!!!" to their bewilderment.
After some pause, I realized they never heard of "16X" and I had made a fool of myself.

I climbed back into my vehicle, started the engine, hit play again,
then feathered in the clutch and drove off. They all pointed
and laughed again.

Of course, that did not happen. I thought there was device
that played various engine recordings through your car speakers,
making everyone believe you had a V8 or something.

It's a 20b, and it's definitely not street tuned - that idle is far too rough (but so so sexy!) to be anything but a race tune & port. Very reminiscent of the way the 787b sounds. Even so, it's amazing and beautiful. Hell, it's even functional! If even a fraction of this styling makes its way into a future RX7/9/whatever I for one will be a happy camper.

Hey Mazda , can I please test drive the Furai?
