Acceleration
So after doing search after search i have decided to start a thread hoping to get the answers i am looking for. I am looking for solid, proven ways to increase acceleration without going FI, too much to maintain, i already know about intake, exhaust and flywheel, but what else out there has been proven????

Everything listed here is pretty much the limit in what will help you with acceleration off the line. The only other thing that hasn't been mentioned is weight reduction. Get rid of every excess pound you can.

Interceptor X will give good gains, but a bit pricey. You have a hi- flow cat that will give you some hp. Pullies will give you a few hp, but other than intake, pully, chip/ecu, hi flow cat., cat back exhaust, that is about all you can do to gain some NA hp gains.

235/40-17 tires are the equivalent of a 4.77 gear with 225/45-18 tires.
You can run them on lightweight and fairly inexpensive 17x8 wheels, which can save 7.5 lb each or so compared to the stock wheels.
Go with a light battery to take 12-15 lb. off the nose, and an "Isley" exhaust to take 22 lb. off the rear.
Should wake the car right up.

I hope you mean 7.5 pounds each with tires, because the stock wheels aren't really that heavy. I weighed mine in at 21.5 lbs. I don't see you getting 14 pound 17 inch wheels inexpensively. Even if thats what you meant then, I think you are pushing it here.

^ The absolute weight savings may seem small, but this is unsprung weight, so it helps alot for handling..
Also, as far as acceleration goes, air and rubber is much lighter than metal, so getting the metal part of the wheel+tire combo to have a smaller diameter helps alot with rotational inertia. Kind of like the effect of a lightweight flywheel. Even though the weight difference may not be huge, the inertia is significantly smaller.

I'm saying how much weight per corner. 7.5 pounds per wheel is a riduclous weight savings and also nothing that will come inexpensively. You are looking at forged magnesium to attain weight loss like that from wheels alone.
