Hi all,
I'm a 2007 MX-5 owner. I'm very interested in the detail dimensions of the stock rx8 springs. The new MX5 are blessed with some floppy soft springs from the factory and the aftermarket spring doesn't offer enough competitive spring choices. Me and my friend are looking into possibility of utilizing rx8 stock or aftermarket springs since MX5 and RX8 share many suspension components.
We will need the ID, free length, and perhaps photos showing the shape of the taper design would be very helpful.
Thanks

i took pics of the rear springs and perches. the shock nut on the fronts was apparently zipped on with an air gun because i can't break it with a 3/8" ratchet. mebbe teamrx8 can snap some pics of the fronts with measurements if he has the stock bits handy. otherwise a few more days and i'll have the fronts too.
rear spring free length: 13.5"
rear spring top perch ID: ~3 5/8"
rear spring bottom perch ID: ~2 3/8"

Man, I dropped the ball on that one!
Year and a half and I still haven't gone out to the garage to measure the springs! Man I'm lazy.
Seriously though, I wish I could measure them, but I traded the car in. I'm sure someone knows or has a set thats just sitting around.
