Single motion lambo doors?

Single motion lambo doors?
Does anyone know of any vendor or garage that sells and installs single motion vertical doors (Lambo style not Gull wing)? I know it would prob take some heavy body work and $, but I've been searching the web and only find the, out then up vertical doors.

i highly doubt that there is a kit available since the door really can't go straight vertical without the a-pillar being there. Plus all the latches will have to be heavily modified to do that.
GT Factory's kit looks good when its up since the door actually comes in when it also goes up

Single motion doors aren't possible. Every kit that you buy will open around 30 degrees before going upwards. I don't like the GT factory kit cause the doors look really out of place. They're like 8 feet up lol. VDI and LSD open slightly inwards.

installation is pretty difficult unless you know how to weld. There is a lot of little things you have to do, too, that play a big role in the outcome of the doors.
I have the GT Factory kit, but mine doesn't go straight up and down, my doors are pitched in a little bit, so they cant over the windshield a little. It all depends on how you place the hinge.

last i heard, their bolt on kit is available for purchase but im not completely sure
i went with the gt factory because i couldnt get in and out of an 8 with the vdi kit since the door doesnt go high enough for me
the bolt on gt factory kit isnt hard to install, you just need to know how to take off the fenders and bumpers to do it

Although i dont plan on getting these kind of doors any time soon... i was wondering which GT factory bolt-ons are being refferred to. I checked out their website.
http://www.gtfactory.jp/index1.htm
But all the bolt Ons seem to be designed for specific cars i.e.: corvettes and chryslers.
Now i havent asked them anything, since im not interested in buying anytime soon... just wondering which one fits on the RX8.
Hehe, then there is the universal kit... which doesnt say bolt-on.....
Im just saving up for more important things in life besides appereance.. F/I

gt factory hasnt updated their site in a long time so the rx8 hinge is not on their site as of now
the best way to find out is to just call them
the kit is not 90 degrees but its alot higher up than the lsd or vdi kits
ill be back in cali in two weeks so ill take a bunch of pics with the doors up to get an idea of how well they open

The hinge can open over 110 degrees, but you're limited by the stroke of the struts that support and provide the lift and closing support for the door. I changed by struts to different ones than are supplied with the kit and my door opens roughly 85 degrees or so.

I'd rather have a little bit of electrical tape than spend whatever thousand+ dollars any shop will charge for installation.

Not the electrical tape, the fact you simply pulled the whole fist-sized connect thru and it's now hanging down. How long did you actually extend the harness? It looked like you didn't even cut any wires but simply pulled the harness out and left it there

I cut some electrical tape on the inside of the car so allow the harness to move out. There was plenty of excess wire length so I just did the simplest thing I could. When I close the doors the wires go back inside the car and I haven't had any problems with water getting in or anything like that.
Just because it looks different than the way other people do it doesn't mean it isn't effective.
