it might also be a good idea to list the source of the weight data you supply for better transparency.

Bigger.....
Don't think there would be a saving from a good aftermarket aluminum rad - the stock is also aluminum, plus the new one would have more tube area, more fins, and hold more fluid.

LOL, the entire A/C system from the firewall forward (engine bay area) is only 18 lb. including all the pipes/hoses, condensor, idler pulley assembly, A/C drive pulley, drive belt, and bolts. Mazda didn't leave much there, the pipes/hoses are amazingly light. Probably not worth it except for the most serious efforts, but it's already out now ...
should have the front cloth seat weights soon
I verified the OE intake weight listed, fwiw the air box insulator shield is 3 lbs for those who choose to leave it in place like for the Umnitza intake, it was included in the larger total weight number
edit: deleted a bunch of comments, not really appropriate to have general discussion in this thread

Only 18 pounds eh? That's kind of lame. I remember when I removed it on my 2nd gen rx7, so many people were quoting 50 pounds for the AC alone. Well after it was all out I weighed everything and it was about 23 pounds heh. Oh well, the AC system was dead anyways so I wasn't using it.
I figured the rx8 system would be light, and 18 pounds sounds about right. Maybe some day I'll take that plunge, I'm running out of the "simple" things to remove weight. I can live without AC

I don't see it being an issue up front given the present plan. It will be located at the front axle centerline down low. Why hassle with a rear mount only to have it sit higher? In fact I'm a bit concerned about getting too much weight off the front end. The majority of weight coming out will impact the front weight balance more than the rear.
None of the stuff you have listed is coming out for me, sorry ...
