[FEELER] Spring 2012 Cobb AP Tuning / Dyno Day @ Speed1 Allentown (formerly KDRotary)
Tuning and dyno session with the master of Cobb AccessPORT RX8 tuning at KDR Performance outside of Kutztown, PA in May
Ok guys, here's your chance for some Spring 2012 NE Cobb AP tuning.
Looking to get everyone together in May.
Here are the dates available to choose from:
Tuner will be the solely authorized Cobb AP reseller and maniac. The shop will be Speed1 (formerly KD Rotary Performance) of Allentown / Kutztown, PA.
Here are the (tentative) details:
Full day - From early morning thru the wee hours of the night -- The shop will likely request we have our last session started no later than 8:30PM but has covered us as long as necessary in the past.
Tuning + Dyno for the first 6 slots (assumes you already have an AccessPort and MM service)
APPROX $200 (+/- $50) -- will adjust as final package price becomes evident -- will also adjust per person rate given the mix of FI / NA participants. FI tunes take SIGNIFICANTLY longer than NA ones.
YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE A Cobb AccessPORT or be willing to purchase a new one to participate in this session.
Tuning
1. rkendrick - PAID IN FULL - $55 refund issued ($275 paid)
2. 200.mph - DEPOSIT PAID
3. Pico - DEPOSIT IN THE MAIL
4. JWeave16 - likely FI - DEPOSIT RECEIVED
5. keck03 - SC - DEPOSIT PAID
6. motomouse - DEPOSIT PAID
Waiting List (If spots open up)
7. Skwoko
8. Renzo-Rx8
Dyno (no promises) only / Hangin' out
1. Killermurph
2. Heeroguy
3.
4.
Deposit for tuning services will be secured when appropriate. All slots are on a first come first serve basis and I would like to have full payment from everyone no later than xx. If by xx you have not paid in full your reservation will go to the next in line until all 6 slots are filled.
All payments are non-refundable and final. Please send me a PM if you're interested and I'll respond with a PayPal address and total amount due (I will be adding 4% to cover fees). If after payment you cannot make it, it is your responsibility to fill your spot. I do not care by what means this happens but do ask you work down the waiting list (assuming one exists).
If for some reason we cannot secure 6 paid slots, the amount due per participant will be calculated based on actual amount owed to the shop and tuner. I can tell you given past experience there is very little profit to be had in this from both the tuner and the shop... and certainly none at all for me. If by some freak of nature we go over that money will go to the shop and/or a snack/beer fund.
Please notice I'm not reserving a spot this time. However, I'll definitely be there to organize and promote things assuming we get sufficient interest.

Guess we'll find out. If necessary I'll modify the post to not incriminate / divulge anything that may break forum rules.
I'm merely delivering on a promise I made to a bunch of folks late last year, but I can definitely see how one could misinterpret my motive.
I updated the post to not reference any specific persons who may or may not have previously been banned from said forum. I've also reported the post and request that the thread titled be changed to "[FEELER] Spring 2012 AccessPORT Tuning / Dyno Day @ Speed1 Allentown (formerly KDRotary)"

first post updated
looks like everyone so far is NA... may need to expand the list if we don't get any FIs to lower the per car costs.
Here are the dates available to choose from:
May : 11th – 13th or 25th – 27th.
June : Open except 1st – 3rd
I have no preference. It's really up to y'all.
Should also mention there's an additional $150 surcharge for anyone that currently does not have an active subscription. I can provide links / etc for anyone interested in purchasing an AP and/or the 6 month tuning service.

Picked up our 5th participant... Just a need a 6th now.
200.mph -- I can ask him about your subscription and we can go from there. Will likely need the email address you used to signup for the service.

I'm sure Dave wouldn't have a problem at all doing that for you. You'll want to set it up with him. Wow, a Pettit... I can't wait to see it!
Ok, gentlemen... we have our entry level 6. Let me do some math tomorrow and I'll post $$$ amounts plus deposits.
Anyone else who's interested --- it's not too late to sign up.

I have my daughter's dance recital on June 17. So I would prefer not to have it scheduled on that Saturday the 16th, if possible. I think based on Jeff's schedule June 9th should be good for everyone.

Sounds good, Heeroguy. I've added you to the "Hanging Out" list.
Also, looks like I spoke too soon about the initial 6 spots being filled. There is still one spot open. The sooner we get the spot filled, the sooner we can get a deposit down for the tuner. That'll pretty much make this a done deal.

rkendrick - NA

keck03 - SC
motomouse - NA
Check your PM inbox!
Here's the current per person costs and breakdown if shared among 5 people:
Total Tuner Costs
$1200
Total Shop Costs
$450
Grand Total
$1650
Per Person
$330
In addition to the total group fees the tuner may assess an additional $150 fee for any cars that are not current subscription customers.
If you don't already own an AP he'll sell you one for $495 including subscription.
I'll need a deposit ($165) from each of you by Monday 4/23. Full amount will be due by Saturday 5/12.
If by 5/12 we don't have enough $$$ to cover the $1650 I'll issue refunds for all $$$ collected and the event will be canceled.
If we pick up any additional participants along the way the per person totals will be equally reduced and if necessary the difference refunded.
I've chosen 6/16 as the event date. Let me know if that doesn't work.... 6/9 and 6/23, and 6/30 are still open.
