new CZ stage 1.1 available
I am part of the second group buy. Maurice is shipping the units to Brian (epitrochoid) and then he's turning them to all the buyers in the group buy. All in all the units should be arriving in a week at the latest. I am in the process of buying a home and possibly trading in my 8, so I am looking to sell somebody my spot. I am accepting offers, but price will be $580 or best offer. The unit will be sold on a first come basis. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Hameed

What made you change?? By the way you will love the low end torque of the Z. But you will miss the handling of your 8 for sure, and the interior of the 8 is a little nicer.

Nothing is final yet, but I will probably loose some significant amount. I am buying a house very soon and the car has to go. My car note is pretty high AND the mpg on the 8 is kicking my ***. Hence, the reason why I am trying to sell my spot in the group buy. A used Z or g35 are good alternatives because of the power, handling, and fun factor. Its a little easier on the wallet in the drinking department (mpg) as well.

350Z.....nice car......in a perfect world I'd own a 350Z track, a G35 Coupe, and my RX8....oh and an S2000, JZA80 Supra, FD RX7, Mazdaspeed Miata, IS300, I can go on forever with great RWD Japanese sports.....I love them all.......

I still fail to see any logic in getting rid of a car due to mileage.
The car isn't getting 5 mpg. The increased cost of getting 19mpg vs 24mpg isn't going to exceed the loss you'll take on selling your car unless you're talking LONGTERM results.

To get rid of the RX-8 to gain better mpg on another Sports Car is ludacris. The time to think long-term was before you bought a vehicle.
How many miles / year do you drive? That will tell you have much money you will save in any perceived mpg increase, by dividing that into the money you lose when you sell.
I'm guessing your looking at 20+ years of owning that 350Z before you even get close.

I am getting 16-18 mpg on my 8. 16 - 18!!!! and that's without pushing it. Everytime I complain to the dealer, its the same crap. "That's the nature of the engine". yeah, ok. That's unacceptable. The car does not have a 300+ hp engine. I drove the 350z and the g35. They are nice cars and more powerful and when driven moderatrly, they get decent mpg. I like the g35 coupe, especially. My friend has one and he's getting 23 to 25 mpg. If I am able to find a used one for a decent price, I will pull the plug. Now, stop getting into your feelings......I didn't say the 8 was a bad car.

I think that I agree with the others on the board, getting rid of the 8 to get the Z for an extra 3-5 miles per gallon is crazy. Both are sports cars, you can not expect great milage from them. I think that if you switch only for gas milage you will be upset with your self.
If you switch because the Z is a sexier car then I will understang.
