Exhaust header from Knight Sports (up 11ps)
Guys,
Check out this new exhaust header from Knight Sports. Approx. 11ps up compare to stock, and gains on all rpm range . Not sure how does this match with the Fujitsubo exhaust since Knight Sport's catback mufflers are from Fujitsubo. Must be damm loud, i guess !

If you look closely at the pictures, you can see that they found a way to keep the center port divided in two and seperate for a good distance before they collect. While the center runners aren't equal length as the outer runners, it is good to see someone doing something different. That header design has the most merit of any yet. At least someone is figuring it out. It has taken them a year to only get this far but it is a good sign of what is yet to come.
For the past year on here I've been saying that the key to making power on the Renesis will be to treat the center exhaust port different. Here you go! Let's see some others get creative here.

I haven't given any of them the look over like rotarygod has. I'll see if I can get some pics for him to examine for us...

Good lord...I remember when I bought headers for my old pickup, they cost a whopping $200 or something. Yeah I know...I'm comparing a Japaneese made header for a modern rotary to one of those vulgar american V8 headers...but still. It makes me want to go dig out my "working with steel tubing" video from Ron Covell...

Now THAT'S a header! :D

The price is discouraging, especially when I'm considering the FI option. I hope there is an aftermarket company here in the United States that could make the same claim for an N/A header, as well as stick on a cheaper price. Nevertheless, something needs to be done about the RENESIS' log exhaust.

I have an idea in mind for my own design. I am glad that nobody else is coming close, yet. If I can achieve similar results to those made by others ay half the cost, that would be cool. If I have better results, I'll still offer it at half the cost. If I didn't actually drive the car every day I might have had it on the market by now.

This is really the last piece before someone can say they have modified the complete exhaust system...

Lets see....
Charles Hill Header, SR Motorsports Mid Pipe/CAT, and Racing Beat CAT back Exhaust.
I only have the RB exhaust, and I am saving for the SR mid, but if you make this Hill header, I am definitely interested.

We all need to join a club
BTW, PS (hp DIN) to Bhp -> Multiply by 0.9863
So your 11PS is 10.85 HP.
I've had a design on the drawing board for a while that looks like soon coming into life. I won't comment on the design at this stage
Cheers,
Hymee.

thanks for the math hymee. sooo if we say the loss to the wheels is 20% then @8.5-9 hp increase at the wheels for $1300 +shipping and handling+ installation if you dont do it yourself. what a bargain!
#24
Don't forget installation in that math oops, I did not see that you included that on the second line.
Anyway, it still is 8.5 - 9 at the wheels

Which is not a huge amount. But a gain nonetheless. I have said many times before it is the whole package that counts. Getting lots of little things right to add up to tangible benefits. I have also said these cars are well engineered, and we won't see the sort of cheap and easy gains the likes of the LS1 boys get (been there, done that).
How much would you US guys be prepared to pay for this sort of kit? The stuff I produce is highly regarded for quality and value for money, and my headers are coming closer to reality. The US is obviously a bigger market than here.
Cheers,
Hymee.
