I got my Rx7 in May from WV where there's no front plate law, so I don't have a bracket. I've been driving around since then with no front plate, mostly around town in Fredericksburg, but I have made 2 trips up to OG Racing in Sterling and1 trip back to WV since then with no problems *knock wood*
I keep my front plate in the bin behind the passenger seat if I get pulled.

I gave up and took mine off too. I've seen more cops since then than I've ever seen in my life. They don't seem to care. I think I'm going to take Toadman's advice and beat my license plate up a bit, so I can say someone hit me and knocked it off, and I haven' put it back on yet, if I get pulled.

The MTA (Maryland Transportation Authority) that hovers around BWI & the MARC stations will pull you over for not having a front tag. I've been pulled over once for just that. The cop let me go, as I wasn't going to the airport. For some reason, they only want to harrass people going to and from BWI.
I have been through the Key Bridge tolls when the MTA was doing a seatbelt ticket day. The cop checked we were all wearing seatbelts, then said "I think it looks better without the front tag too" right before he waved me through.

Im from Florida but I live in Bethesda I'll be here for 2 yrs Im in the military. As far as the license plates, I was only issued 1 license plate for the back. So where ever your car is registered and if they issued you 2 license plates I think you should put it on or take the chance of getting pulled over and getting a ticket. Is there an rx8 club here in bethesda or anywhere close Im interested.

Welcome to the area. I decided to remove the buck teeth off my RX-8, knowing I might get a ticket. The front end looks so much nicer without the plate on it.
Please join us at the next Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington (MSCW) meeting. Check out the web site for directions and info. The next meeting is Wednesday October 6 and if you're interested, there's a picninc Saturday October 2. See the web site for more info on the picnic and feel free to PM me.
