Engine rebuild turn around time...
This is something I get asked from time to time and for thoes that dont know all ready here you go...
For thoes of you that are sending in your Core to be rebuilt the turn around time is about 1-2 weeks. Depending on how long we both play phone tag...
If you are going the exchanged rought {meaning I send you a rebuilt engine and you send in you core at a later date} that is 3-4 days before the engine is ready to ship out to you...
Shipping is usealy about 5-10 business days from when it leaves my shop before you see it...
Street Porting is $300.00 custom porting is also available too
Milling the rotors is available too for $300.00
Apex seals I will only use Atkins, Cermanic or Mazda seals...
ALL rebuilds go out with a 2year\2,400 mile Warranty and that even goes for thoes engines that are Street ported...
here is a link with the exchanged engine prices

link for the Warranty for the Engine Rebuilds

If you have any Questions please ask as I will answer as soon as I can...

couple questions for you:
1) do you do porting for the renesis as well? same pricing?
2) does the warranty cover engines that are FI'ed by the customer how do you determine if the failure was caused by the customer or if there was a problem with the rebuild?

I will cover engines that have an aftermarket ECU as long as it is tuned correctley
and this is something I can tell when the engine to torn down..
I will not cover it if there is Boost {ie Superchargers or Turbos}...
I dont cover broken Apex seals, rotors Ect.. I also done cover installer err like nuts, bolts, coins beeing droped down the intake { I have seen this happen many many times over the years}

I need to have my motor rebuilt, and when I emailed you guys a week ago asking for an estimate on a streetport and rebuild I was told you can't do porting on the renny. However this thread says otherwise what's the final verdict?

You can do some porting on the renny it just is not verry much...
I have had 2 coins {1 penny and 1 dime} show up in engines..
the first one my Dads Techs spun the engine over by hand and found a penny and he just did this by turning the engine over by hand for the fun of is and a Penny came out the Exhaust port..
the last one was a dime and the only reason we know that as there was a inprint of it on the rotor...
Also we have seen engines come in packed full of Grain {mice} I have seen cores come in with frogs and scorpions in them...
It is fun taking core engines apart as you never know what you will find in them..
I did one about 10 years back to a new kid to to rotary world..
I hired him on Wedsday and he would not shut up about how these engine and so cool and how thay dont have valves in them..
So on friday I go on a core run for the weekend and as the yard was loading up I find this bent valve on the ground so I take it with me as I is diffrent to see around the shop from time to time..
Anyway when I got back to the shop {durring the weekend} I unloded the engines and put one of them on the stand and I removed the rear plate and I took this valve and put it in the block and put it all back together as if it was never apart..
Now keep in mind this guy was new and did not know any better at the time..
Monday roles around I have this kid tare the cores down and just to see what will happen I ask for a failure report on the engine..
he is taking this engine apart and looking as all the parts as this is his first rotary tare down.. now wile he is doing this he is telling me how these engines are so cool and what not.
when he gets the rear plate the shop goes silent and he cant figure out how this valve got in there... so he is staring at it for about 10Min before he asks for help and this kid was stumped so bad he did not know what to think...
