Was 7, but Jacqui and I had to bail, the white volks looked damn good! Almost a totally new group. Well done Dave!

Next time we'll go "all the way" lol!!

Cheers

Good to meet all you guys and of course see Muzz and Mikey (and his better half) again.

Thanks for posting some piccies. They probably tell most of the story but I'll still present my usual match report for those playing at home.

Sunday dawned a little crappy and I thought there was no point washing the Revolvermobile but then I got keen and did it anyway. Pride while flying the flag and all that.

Met up with the other guys at Macca's and oohed and aahed over various mods. Really love the blue car with the white Volks - great combo IMHO. TimTam should have done it.

After shooting the breeze and wishing MikeyR and Jacqui well for their Grizwald family vacation in Europe, we got the show on the road.

Unfortunately, the roads were still a bit damp in places. Although they still offered good grip, the Sunday drivers were slower than usual . Galston Gorge was a non-event behind two said jalopy pilots but them's the breaks in Sydney.

The rest of the run to Wiseman's was a bit stop and go too. I got an early break on point by overtaking a couple of the general public and disappeared from the group to have the sweepers to myself in places but kept running into more people along the way. Lost count of the number of overtaking moves that trip . Closer to Wiseman's caught up with a procession of Holden's - mainly GTS coupes and the newer Coupe .

Was parked on the side of the road and waiting for a little while before the rest of team arrived. We went down the bowlo where we had lunch last cruise there but we were too early - don't open till 11.00! So basically it was just take some piccies and talk crap for a while.

I had to shoot through to catch the male mini-terrorist's first ever football match, so left the boys at the bowlo.

Much better run back! From a near clear run up the hill from Wiseman's it just got better. Absolutely caned the thing for long stretches along the Northern Rd but probably the less said about that here the better (I can hear Taka's lecture warming up now ).

Only hit traffic again on Galston Rd and it was another procession down the Gorge . Finished up behind a cop car on the Paccie Hwy from Hornsby to Mona Vale Rd. What they don't know won't hurt them .

Also spotted a baby blue Bentley Conti convertible. Yep, can see myself retiring into something like that...at 70.

Made it back with some time to spare. For the curious they went down 3-0 but all had a great time. Love the swarm that follow the ball at that age. Too funny.

Look forward to some more runs as time allows.

Ahh to be in a place with an active crew!

Great write up too! GLad the minis like footy it's the only age group I can watch play the game....anything above that gets all too technical!!!

Royal National Park is good fun but is at its best on a weekday. I grew up down that way and know it well.

Unfortunately, all the good roads like the run to Wiseman, Nasho, Bells, etc get a bit crowded on weekends. They also attract the po-po.

Best bet is to head out of town via some backroads. We did a cruise last year that took us down Bells to Lithgow but then onto a less-travelled loop of country roads and it was much more fun not having to slow to a crawl every 5 mins because some grey nomad had decided he and Beryl will see more of the countryside if he tows his caravan at 10kms under the limit.

The southern highlands and the Hunter Valley also have some good backroads.

Those interested need to plan a route and post an invitation. I keep telling people until I'm blue in the face that it's that simple. Maybe one day people will just do it instead of talk about it.

Maybe suggest a meeting somewhere east of your 10/20 say @ the boarder or something! Mt Gambier or Coonawarra etc.....! See how many Vic's maybe interested!

Just a thought! Then again maybe that's why I'm not an Events Organiser just someone you likes driven their 8!

Maybe discuss it over birthday cake at Broadford!

Cheers
