Sorry I removed that post while I did some math to make sure I wasnt making an idiot of myself (as i normaly do when I dont think before posting). I never took it that my integrity was on the line...my integrity went out the door long ago
The mazfix chart shows both stock and turbo'ed, the blue is stock.
The stock torque figures are just shy of 600 ft-lb, which when divided by .737 give you 814Nm. Now the issue is that they could have ben doing it in 2nd or 3rd gear, while mine was 4th and best gear would be 5th as it has 1:1 ratio.

btw, I am hoping to catch up with one of the guys that works on the software for dynamic dynamo's here in melb over the next few weeks. I will try and get a more detailed explaination as to the hows and whys.
Also, I had some pretty nasty fuel in the car during the dyno which caused pinging at around 8500 on the first run and apparently the reason for the choppy lines on the posted chart.

One of the few benefits of FWD I guess - less dispersion of power through the drivetrain.

Still, a 40Kw advantage is nothing to sneeze about...

Having driven an MPS 6 all weekend I have to say ... YUCK!
While it has a 40Kw advantage over the 8, it takes FOREVER to kick in. I reckon in a 1/4 mile with an 8 it would be down to the driver.
Cant vouch for the 3, but I hope its better.

On my drive day I was chasing a Mazda 6MPS at Sandown and I have to agree with AUZoom.
I would give him almost the full length of the front straight head start and by turn 4 I had to back off to avoid hitting him (this was with two different 6MPS's and drivers). What really supprised me was under acceleration out of turn 4 onto the back straight I expected the 6MPS to pull away and leave me behind, but he didn't. I couldn't quite keep up, but the 6MPS only made a couple of car length on me. I only tried to keep up on the straight the once as it made the turns very boring. The sad thing is that the 6MPS is almost the same price as an RX8!!

The worst thing about the 6MPS is the way it is on- and off-boost continually in the 60-80kph range, making it very hard to drive smoothly in traffic/urban driving. That, and its bloody clutch!
