Well i lost 12 kilos and i gained 6 kilowatts does that help

Labros Brother AKA Hi Tech mufflers install some very good exhaust systems... Hope you noticed that i said install.. I dont know about their research and development on an RX8 exhaust.

To many variables must be controlled in order to get accurate information about gains..

If i got time on the weekend might drop into the Petersham shop and see what they have to say for themselves.

It took them a while to get this exhaust on the shelf they are usually quick to produce something.. I think they are just realising that RX8 owners have money to spend and the aftermarket scene is going to be big too.

Regards
Phillip

Of course all info is my 2 cents

I'll have to put my price up

12kW sounds a lot for an RX-8 exhaust! Be carefull!

I'm sure they do a good job, but I have demonstrated how to get that sort of figure on the dyno by not changing anything. Also, have a read about what racing beat says of RX-8 exhausts on their site.

Anyway - HymeeEnhanced looks like it is going global:

(Use babelfish to translate if you need to) I just like all the smilies and clapping. Bravo!!

Cheers,
Hymee.

lmfao hymee i think you should get the "public relations & techincal expert of the year award".

The french just cannot believe how advanced us aussies are and with a global marketing name like "Hymee Enhanced" it just goes to show how far geographically you can really go.

nice work

well Just remember. Hi-tech has a bad Reputation amongs the S2000 owners. They claim the power to much.

For my 350Z owners the claim is about 14rwkw on the Dyno of each owners.

So it's up to you to believe it or not

Cheers

Hey, Hey....CONGRATULATIONS! Looks as though your reputation as a supplier of quality gear for the 8 has been recognised globally. You must be chuffed!

Hopefully they can get the numbers up for a group buy...as soon as a few appear on the continent the word (sound!) will spread. Then you'll have to go and visit your export market to drum up business and claim the lot back as a tax deduction!

Congrat's on the recognition...and the sure sales to follow.

My car is famous! "bravo"

12kW sounds like way too much for just a muffler. If they also removed the cat and replaced the exhaust headers, then I'd believe it.

Phil,

Not dissing Hitech or anything, but that's a load of crap.
What's under the bonnet of their RX8? A 13B turbo? LOL

Besides, what's wrong with the Hymee exhaust you've got?

I've used them before to fit exhausts onto customer's cars at work and their workmanship and quality is great, however I think they overquote the power increase too much.
A mate put one of their exhausts on his S2K and it didn't seem to be able to punch out the dyno figures they were quoting.
Caveat emptor!

Exhaust

Hei Hyme i think i will rather buy your muffler rather than the rotery extreme intake to take it oversea to my car . I've sent u an email to you regarding a few questions. What are the prices for the different material used for the exhaust? What are the weights? and the sample sound from your web side sounds funny . it sounds like theres a hole in the muffler or its just me? Wat Db for the muffler for max throttle? And also why dont we all not change to expensive air filter and just get hymees' exhaust

I've a Hymee muffler, too. IMHO, it sounds great and gives a nice 'edge' to the car when working hard, but is great to live with -- no resonance or harmonics that become unbearable on trips.

Don't really notice any torque problem with the 8 -- you certainly won't gain much with any a/m exhaust. And if that's your real concern then I'd suggest there's a diesel in your future :D

Timbo,
how did you know about my diesel? Cos Im driving a modified turbocharged intercooled by 4X4 safari. Cant remember the KW i think is 130 or something . Man it flyes above the 90km/h. I have been debating too. Cos i wanna to get the M5. But i read somewhere cant remember BMW is coming out a whole new gen of Diesel engine for the 5s (400NM) twin turbo So i dont know cos diesel for me is cheap cos i get rebate as primary producer . I know Rx8 its not bad. Cos in Jakart when i was driving my Rx8(under 1000k on ODO). A Bmw 528(02') came rite at me and i cant shaek it off of course i wasnt passing the 5k rpm . heheheh it was funny i was caught in delima for that but i let it go.
