Not my own shoulders but I've known plenty of people both professionally and socially who have had them done and I know the recovery period can be longish to get power and range of movement back.

Suppose it depends which part of the shoulder you're getting fixed up. It may not affect your driving too much after the initial convalescent period. However, tracking the car is exhausting and you may not want to push yourself too hard only a few weeks after surgery.

And of course if you're unlucky enough to have some sort of tank slapper, you might risk the repair and have to have it done all over again.

Not trying to pour cold water over your plans. Just things you need to consider.

They told me today they have a white leather pack some where in aus so if they come to the party on my offer for the leather pack i will have it in 2 weeks, otherwise 6-8 weeks for the cloth pack from japan. Very excited!!!!

Sub 50k drive-away for a new leather pack with spoiler and tint i think is a pretty good deal!!

Where are we at here? Have they agreed to your sub 50K drive away offer, or are they baiting you to hold you until the cloth pack arrives?

I'm interested is seeing how you go because there's a possibility I'll be following in your footsteps......

What drive away price have they given you for the cloth pack (if any)?

Hi Gomez,

The leather pack has been put on hold for someone so i have purchased a white cloth pack with rear spoiler and tint for $47750 driveaway. The best they could do the same car in leather was $51500 driveway. I think they are both pretty good prices!! Now the wait begins.....first week in Oct hopefully.

Cheers

Assuming you get it in time, you sure you want to run it in at Winton?!

Thanks man, that's a good deal!

You'll love it, they're great cars to drive.

Welcome to the family! Just a tip you won't be able to drive for between 4-6 weeks and you won't really feel like it either. You will be in a sling for about 2-4 weeks and during that time my advice is make sure you do your physio. Who is doing your recon and are they doing it arthroscopically (keyhole) or open??

Either way good luck and enjoy the car. I don't have a moonroof, have the leather tho and love it.....sunroof for me = sunburn!!

Ciao'

Hi Rotor Convert,

Dr Mark Robinson in Brisbane will be doing my Reco. He will be doing open instead of keyhole.

I like the leather too but the extra money i saved will be put towards my turbo kit from Mazfix, hopefully done while i am out of action with the shoulder!!!!

Looking very doubtful at this stage for the nats unfortunately.

Cheers
