Announcement - I've sold my RX8 and
bought another one!!
Yes folks - Due to a changed work arrangements and the perculiar nature of novated hand back clauses, it turns out to be a better deal for me to renew myu 8 rather than keep my old car so , I've sold my 2003 August built Titanium 6M leather pack and have ordered a 2004 Titanium 6M leather pack.
I gave back V1 on September 3 and hope to take delivery of V2 on Thursday.
I guess this is the proof that I really do love my 8 !!!
Rob
Am I the first to take delivery of 2 new 8s that I've paid for within 12 months .....

I can see it now. Hops into car noticing nothing other than slightly newer smell ... immediately suspicious.... says "You've been up to something.." Despite fullsome denials including use of logic and powers of observation, pricer is forced on a jewellery purchasing expedition.

LOL :D ... and there I was reading the subject and thinking I was going to have to find a diplomatic way of calling you a deserter and telling you to bugger off our forum.
Congrats... and thanks for saving me having to employ some tact (which is something I struggle to do).
Did you break the first car in nicely? Shame you didn't know this was going to happen - you could've flogged the first one then broken this one in nicely and compared the difference and reported it to the forum and got post of the day. Unless of course you want to do the reverse (flog the new one?) j/k
A mate of mine reckons there is a great solution for the new car smell. Maybe it would help avoid the jewellery purchasing expedition. It involves Mr and Mrs Pricer on the back seat. (No we don't need graphic detail L&L, let's stick with inuendo eh?)

You must be either a contortionist or are quite adept at picking up petite chicks. LOL :D :D :D
Back to the thread, interesting that you decided to get the same colour Rob.
If I could do it again, I would go the Stratos Blue personally.

I have a new found respect for you mate!
You must be either a contortionist or are quite adept at picking up petite chicks.
My policy has always been to go for size eights or tens , forget the others , this has enabled very interesting liaisons in confined spaces :D eg showers , and cars....... Hmmm memories of my1956 Triumph TR-3A come back to mind..
The clue for success in the RX8 is in the doors as when they are halve open act as a partition from prying eyes . :
Having the ladies facing Mecca also helps :D
ps : The1 litre mineral based Mazda rotary oil (hidden in the rear compartment) if needed acts as an excellent lubricant in cases of emergency , as long as you dont over use it otherwise you will cause flooding . :D
cheers

To answer the questions
1) The jewellery in ALWAYS an option for my wife
2) Yes I got the fancy flick key, but lost the Hymee grill (Hey Prof .. is there a discount for repeat customers
3) My neighbour didn't believe me - I had to show him the build date (Aug 04)
4) I ran the old one in carefully althought I did give it a big fang on the last day. (Not too biG)
5) am being careful with the new car (max 5K so far)
And I REALLY REALLY love the car ....

Since you are a Hymee Trained and Accredited Grill Kit Fitter, you will of course get a discount when you get your 2nd grill kit, as it will be in the box with your new exhaust of course
Perhaps you will the first in Aus with the MKII exhaust :duck:
Cheers,
Hymee.
