Talking about privacy law in that Dave.... hmmm.
What is the world come to? Violence on street because of alcohol in the city. Youngster gathered in hundards at a myspace advertised party in sururban neighbourhood? Why?
In civialised South East Asian cities, after the big riot in 70s, any gathering over 100 people (that may include our upcoming Nationals...
) in a public area require registration with the police aka permits! Well Nats aren't in public area and so do Werribee parties but hey I really want the government to stand up and punish heavily on junvenile violence and stop this nonsense behaviour. There must be a solution and can be Singaporian style!
I stripped my older daughter all privledges for 24 hours simply smacking her sister on the head.

Alcohol is a funny thing.
A range of uses from cleaning infected wounds, powering engines and making ugly people attractive, however if you throw it on a fire you will get burnt.
Generation XYZ or whatever they call them don't seem to be able to do much at all without violence. Alcohol has become a too easy excuse for a generation that never learnt they weren't the centre of the universe.
Contrast that with some street events I have seen like free concerts where up to thousands of civilised adults take a meal and a sensible quantity of alcohol and actually enjoy each other's presence without incident.
Like the road rules the good people ultimately suffer more ridiculous laws and the bad ignore them.

Once again thanks for all your support guys! :D My wife is fine....I think the fact that I got stuck in and cleaned the car up the next day helped heaps....having to look at the smashed window would have kept the memory of the incident too alive!
I haven't heard anything further from the police and I really don't think I will. The offenders were definitely juveniles and I'm very confident that they lived in the area as they new exactly where they were running to when were after them.
On a brighter note, the 323 is mobile again. Picked the new glass up yesterday and fitted it in the evening. All it needs now is the tinting.
