mushroms???
The real truth is that we have been given a revised version of the european spec rx8 to change the engine management system will require a different chip to get power up to 184kw and 216nm. Not only will this be more expensive but it may void your mazda warranty .If we are getting the european spec car why arent we getting the rear lip spoiler ,or the rear fog light ,or the option of the moon roof , your right steve would make a good politician the fact is it does not make any difference ,the rx8 is missing 7kw and 5nm of power ,it does not mater what explanation your given .FACTS ARE FACTS .

Well you've probably noticed but we've been screwed too. The UK car will only have 231bhp instead of the 240bhp we expected. Emissions controls again. Why didn't they test the bloody engine against the known standards BEFORE publicising it?! Grrrr....

Lensman and other english rx8ers,you guys are really coping it inthe rearwith this further downgrade to 231bhp ,sorry to hear it ,how is this going to effect your torque figures ?/ .personally i also aint to happy with a lot of little issues with the rx8 i may wait for the rx7 where i think lot of the hiccups that mazda seems to be having will be hopefully ironed out .

Joke aside. I think the 184kW is only conservative. I am planning to sort out the intake and exhaust manifold and the exhaust once I have my hands on the car - One thing I have to ask - prob in the wrong forum - Black or Silver???

Sorry all, my comment was not meant to offend anyone. I've lost a lot of friends and family who have immigrated to Australia and are loving every minute of it.
