Bike carrier for RX8

Hi guys,
I'm not into bike riding personally as i can get from A to B much faster in my 8
However I was just checking out www.mazda.co.uk and noticed some interesting (unusual?) accessories like the bike carrier.
Other options not available from Mazda in Australia includes polished alloys (for some added bling) and a lowering kit (hmmm) and then there are tyre deflectors that look in my humble opinion - ugly.
I do like the look of the euro spoiler though and interior sat nav....

Tyre deflectors? What're they?

I think we can get polished rims here now.

I was impressed that I can fit my 21" XL mountain bike frame in my boot

you only need to take off the seat and post, remove both wheels, remove the stem and fork. then if you package it just right! it all fits

You idiot rotorenvy!

Interesting rack there Ric - I wonder where it hooks up.

astro used to bring his bicycle in his RX-8 for training, and he can mount the bike with an arm coming from the spare wheel.

Me need to go back on training.

Anyone interested in Around the Bay in a day? Only 210km. astro, xatnep and yellowrx8inoz and me will do it in the same direction this time. Queenscliff first.
If I am fit, I can make it home before lunch.

I'll take pics on how to mount a roadbike in an RX8 next time I take a training ride along Beach road. I love freezing to death training for the ATB ride. I reckon I'll cramp up after 2 minutes of riding in this weather we've been getting lately.

As for ETA at the finish line..., my aim is to survive the day!. Hope they still serve those muffins at the finish line. Yummmmm!.

I belive the euro market have access to a very phalic looking towbar but it has a very low capacity, ie few hundred kilos. I think this may just be something that attaches to that.

They should probably sell some other optional extras for it too ... considering, as you said, it does look like a bent rod.
