The first series of Turtle Wax's Blood Sweat & Gears was filmed late last month in Shepparton Victoria to coincide with the Spring Car Nationals. With so many quality entries we were excited to take 8 of the best cars in the country and pit them against each other. But as we all know, in the car world things rarely go to plan - on the eve of filming one of the finalists pulled out due to car troubles and so we were down to 7. When the camera began rolling the competition was fierce and throughout the challenges the leader board remained tight.
The challenges undertaken were:
1. Driveability
2. Speed
3. Super Sprint
4. Advanced Driver Course
5. Motorkarna
6. Go to Whoa
7. Show N Shine
8. Dyno
With Challenge King Nathan Luck and Driving Guru Ian Luff as our judging team, every competitor was in for a true and fair appraisal of not only their ride but also their own driving abilities.
Thanks to all who entered, each of you will be receiving a Turtle Wax kit in the mail soon. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we introduce our finalists and don't forget to tune in 18th January on Fox 8 as Blood Sweat & Gears hits the airwaves.
there might also be some footage of our RX8 getting a workout on the skid pan too lol
