Thanks guys...geez, don't they come around fast

My plans for this year are to grow more hair and have a better mid life crisis than I had last year....although it was pretty good

Actually, this year is going to be an interesting one in the sense that I have to make a decision.....about my 8....whether to continue the lease....or roll-over into new car.

I must say, the case for the 8 --even a new one -- remains pretty compelling, but would be even more so if Mazda had just done a few more upgrades

Have a drive of the Mazda 6 MPS, having paid the RX-8 off and if I'd wanted to start making payments on a new car again I'd have moved to that. Huge difference in performance.

Thanks all

draco, I've had a test drive of the 6 MPS and I know what you mean about the difference in performance. Totally different to drive than the 8...it's all about torque, which comes on with a bit of a rush at 3,000rpm. Nothing wrong with that, but it's just different. I like the smooth, linear power of the 8. But the worst thing about the 6 MPS is that it looks pretty much like a...Mazda 6

It's gotta be something smooth and different looking....sort of like.....the 8

I tend to fight for tyranny and injustice - the innocent and righteous can't afford me!

Hey Timbo,
Happy belated birthday. Its always fun trying to decide on which cars to buy. Perfomance and style wise verry little comes close to RX 8. However you could take a drop in perfomance and go for luxury in a similar price bracket. mmmm choices, choices
