Cannonball run - rotary style
This is serious action. Its also how Sony got their PLAYSTATION idea's.
Notice the standard gearing prevents the RX-7 from making 300 but the guy with the Trust 6-speed has an extra cog to wind out past 300.
Just awesome, those Japs do some pretty serious Cannonballing.
Enjoy............ >>> Youtube video <<<

Hahaha, can you imagine trying that on a freeway in Australia anywhere besides the NT??? You wouldn't get 2kms before either striking some dope sitting in the fast lane or a copper waiting to pounce.
Things that interested me (besides the point you made about the 6th cog):
The 'free play' in the steering wheel of the Trust equipped car (no doubt from the ride at that speed).
The external camera on the car getting passed - great shot.
The pink convertible, hahaha!!!
I wonder how long the 'course' is?

Thats funny as, but very dangerous too! The only thing I hate about my RX is the electronic limiter, I could never get over 190km/h. Mind you thats still mighty fast for a four speed Auto in anyones language, but until I do those Advanced Drivers Courses and CAMS, I wouldn't try what those Japs did over there.

yes yes yes, we all understand the dangers but lets not get all "high & mighty" then turn the thread into a reason to install revenue cameras along every street.
Chill out & enjoy it for what it is.
Serious rotary action showing just how high the limits of these cars (RX-7) can go.
P.S........... Just love the sound of the engine at 8500rpm in Amemiya San green machine.
