The timed thing can be official or unofficial.

The trouble for timing is: Who is going to sit in the box to time (even it is automatic - someone has to take care of it when it stalls) and not going to the track. I wouldn't.

As we hire the track out, we will own the track and put it as an organised open session. Some people will want more laps than others.

For me I am not ready to be timed until the late arvo. I can time it myself in the long straight with my PDA.

 

I'm just happy to tootle along around the track at a speed I feel comfortable with, ie. I won't be pushing any boundaries but I won't be setting any world records either.

My objective is to have fun. and show off my mods (see sig)

 

Me too... If I can't take the car down, then I might be available for track times...

 

That's exactly what we should all be doing, and not let anyone convince us to go faster than what we are comfortable!

 

We better play very conservtive here, and not even mention the R word. It is definately advanced driver edumacation.
