i have a black car and it sqeels nlike anything especially when it is hot
i'm going to see if mazda are going to do something about it. The thing with service departments is that they try to delay things as much as possible

I'm now suffering from the squeeky brake problem.. well the car is, and so are my ears. Was going to wait until my next service, but now I'm not sure if I can continue to put up with it. Might be a chance to get the PCM flash update as well.

Did you end up getting your pads replaced under warranty 18jambo74?

Yes
The pads were replaced under warranty as they fitted revised pads, this was done as a directive from Mazda.

You did well. Which dealer did you go to get these new pads. Grand Prix told me that I needed to brake harder and I wont get the squeal.

It works but not very comfortable as you have to brake hard for this to work. They reckon this will take the varnish off the pads.

Reguardless to say I am not happy with the explaination

i have had my mazda dealer perform both brake tsb's and mine are still squelling at the end of my braking right before i come to a complete stop. plan on ordering axis ultimate pads for the front and brembos slotted and cross drilled rotors. im also trying to get a replacement caliper that fits the stock rotors.

I've stomped on mine a few times to see if that fixes but that doesn't seem to help. Thanks for the comments skc -- I was going to go to Aspley to get it fixed, but maybe I need to try somewhere else. Did you show Aspley the TSB?

The dealer was Eagers at Newstead, they did not have a problem with replacing the pads.

I have not shown them the TSB.

See how you go. I will print the TSB and see if it works next time. If we both put preassure in the Aspley dealer then they may start looking at fixing the problem. May be mention thet Eagers have fixed this problem for one of the forum members :p
