Here comes the road rules nerd...
Victorian Law states:
217. Using rear fog lights
(1) The driver of a vehicle fitted with a rear fog light must not operate the fog light
unless the driver is driving in fog or other hazardous weather conditions
causing reduced visibility.
Penalty: 2 penalty units.
(2) In this rule—
rear fog light means a light fitted to a vehicle to make it more easily visible
from the rear in fog.

I think the rear fog looks good too.

As for the rules, I think the drivers of Titanium Grey cars particularly have a good argument that in very heavy rain, etc the use of fogs would improve visibility of the car for other drivers.

Of course, the use of fogs in clear weather is just a vanity thing.

My wife bought a ford focus 5 odd years ago. When we took ownership the dealer had as part of their handover sheet a point that made you aware of the legalities of using the rear fog light.

Yeah, they're probably enough in most conditions but I'm talking very heavy rain that restricts visibility but is short of fog.

Prodrive modified the RX-8 PZ for Mazda UK.

OZ Racing (the Italian wheelmaker) made the wheels. They have "Prodrive by OZ" centre caps.

This info is straight out of the RX-8 PZ brochure.

The Mazda dealer that i spoke too said the 40th Anniversary model should be available late this year or early in 2008 .

I may even trade up if the looks and the price are right .

Hopefully they have got rid of some of the early quirks from the car .

Latest info on the 40th Anniversary
Got this response about the 40th anniversary Australian RX8 from my Mazda Dealer

This is all the info I have. Yes, there will be a 40th anniversary RX8 due for production November 2007 Cars will be complied 2008.
The Auto will be a 6 speed.
We believe most of the features found in the U.S model will be the same here except colours will be Marble White, Brilliant Black, Metropolitan Grey and Stormy Blue.Dont know for sure, but cars will be limited to 100 only for Australia. Price unknown but would expect mid to high sixties.

Looks like Australia is finally getting the 6 speed Automatic .

Colours , Marble White, Brilliant Black, Metropolitan Grey and Stormy Blue , guess they are hedging their chances of selling 100 limited units .
