:D :D :D ROFL at Mauzi's interjection in about the only thread where he won't get noticed!! Mate, this is the gir...ooops, sorry...ladies thread and you know how it can be when they get going.
Anyway, try a little search in the Aus forum. Basically, everything that's not fair wear and tear is do-able under warranty....whole cars even

Its ok I'll forgive u ! hehe
To my understanding of warranty issues, basicaly everything under the bonnet, and any parts that may break in the car. My centre consol sliding part broke, they got me a new 1 under warranty. Any problems with starting etc, we've all had batteries, starters, brake pads, spark plugs changed under warranty.
But if you do a mod to the car, and that mod is the cause of the problem u may have, then mazda will not fix it under warranty.
Maybe we should start a warranty thread on here too for extra info - correlate it to the other forum aswell.

hey kalli ... you should soooo paint yer calipers. after removing the tire, its pretty easy and dont worry, changing a tire is not hard either. tho that first turn on the lugs can be a bit sticky.

Hi everyone!! I'm sure ya'll have seen me around the forums (post whoring according to some ) but here's my official hello!!
Like Phee, before my 8 a car was what I used to get me around. I looked forward to rain because that was considered a car wash.
When I was in the market for a new car, I had broken up with a long time ex who I had felt had brought me down and prevented me from doing what I really wanted to do. A form of retaliation was buying a "boys" car. I test drove the Mustang GT and although I loved having the power under my feet, I hated the way it handled. My friend who was with me at the time said, "Tiff, I don't like that car and I don't think you like it either." I then test drove the RX-8 and I was in love. :D Those curves, the speed, the fact that I want to scream "Weeeeeee" everytime I drove.... My friend then tells me, "Tiff, I LOVE this car and you look great driving it!!! Now you only need it in RED!!!" So one week later, a brand new RX-8 with everything I could ask for was mine.
I can thank the majority of my mods to a tree (yes, I'm the infamous tree killer), although everything installed after the accident was done mostly by me with the help of my friendly local and Louisiana 8 owners. The most recent mod I've done are footwell lights. The kit wasn't exactly what I needed so I had to custom wire everything. I loved the fact that I did it all by myself.
Everyone in the neighborhood is jealous. They walk by the car and ask me, "I love that color red... is it custom?" We end up chatting about the car and they're amazed that a female could know so much about a "boys" toy. My neighbor's kid is only 10 or 11 and he's already told his dad that he wants one!!
My boyfriend owns an 8 too and his friends think it's so cool that I'm a car chick. When he bought his car, they told him that he needed to meet a cool car chick who's car was better and faster than his. According to his friends I'm a perfect fit. :D
LMAO, I didn't know this Shari! That totally rocks!! Does he still wants to debate that I don't know what or where my air intake is? Perhaps he didn't understand me when I told him that I installed it myself? Silly piston owner. :p
My 8 is my escape. All of the world's worries go away when I'm driving. There's nothing more theraputic than driving with the windows and sunroof open, listening to your favorite tunes, zooming and beeping on the on-ramp as if there's a finish line, cruising on the highway and watching the other drivers gawk in awe and jealously because of you and your car...
I'd like to think that I've made a name for myself in the rotary world - mostly good although I'm sure there's some bad out there too. I'm just thankful that I'm able to share my thoughts and experiences with such wonderful people, and I'm glad that you all enjoy your 8's as much as I enjoy mine.

Recently, one of my guy friends told me that when he was listening to Tiffany (Dazygirl) and I talk about our cars at a party I had everything we said was over his head at 10,000 feet. Awesome!!!

On another note, still a living at home girl here - My mother in particular doesnt understand why I cant be a "normal" girl. My dad sees me hovering around my car on weekends and hes like - now wat are you doing.... he tells his friends his daughter is a "race car" club hahaha I remember when I was lookin at cars to buy.. originally set the limit at around $30-40,000. But then damn.. when i was takin my lil other car into mazda 1 day i saw the 8. It was love at first sight - (the one and only time ive felt that ) Mums like no no so much money u save ur money and put it towards a house. Well then mum was at mazda wif her car 1 day and she asked to c the 8.. she came home saying "oh my its a very beautiful car did u know the doors open the other way?"

My parents r pissed off with me bad. Cus im cramming like nuts, I keep tellin em to be quiet around the house so i can concentrate which is pissin my dad off cuz hes used to havin his tv on so loud that i swear ppl within 20km radius can hear it!!
but i explained to mother that even if i had kept up my study then i still would have crammed like this! Bak in the days when i was very dedicated to my books i still would cram in the last 2 weeks (Well thats my argument and im sticking with it!)
FUNNY DAT - erics avatar doesnt cause 'near' fits - maybe i should stick a pik of a chick amongst the car flicking piks - would that be easier on ur eyes :P
