Ferrari on pole

Proof stupid people should not own good cars.

A YOUNG man wrecked a Ferrari worth a quarter of a million dollars, but escaped serious injury, when he crashed into a Stobie pole at Walkerville today.

..and this one one hell of a bad day for the owner of this Bugatti Veyron! It was reportedly doing 100mph in a 40mph zone when it crashed in heavy rain on Sunday 3rd March near Chertsey, Surrey.

Apparently the £830,000 ($1,600,000) Bugatti Veyron was bought only a week ago by a company who rent out high performance cars with the owner having paid a large premium for a quick delivery, reportedly £925,000!

The Bugatti was being driven by a man who had rented the car for £20,000 ($40,000) per day when lost control and hit a Vauxhall Astra that had a pregnant woman in. The car then went up a bank and into some trees, the pregnant woman underwent tests and was released from hospital.

It is still unsure if the car is repairable or going to be one of the most costliest car write-offs in history! The driver of thw Bugatti that crashed, Ajay Soni, was fined £400 for the accident and also given 9 points on his licence.

Sounds like the P1 club that Demon Hill owns... otherwise who will rent out a Veyron?

I also met a couple of guys from P1 Supercar club Australia recently...

Just making an appearance from the dead to tell a story about the Ferrari. It actually belonged to a friend of mine. The week before the accident he sold it to a mutual friend ( the indian bloke in the white shirt in the pic taka posted, the guy in the suit is the insurance broker). The Indian bloke ( just happens to drive an Aston Martin DB9) had another bloke lined up to buy the car for a quick $15k profit. Anyway, on the Tuesday of the accident, the car was being test driven by a 26yo who put $6k down for the deposit. Unfortunately the kid couldnt handle the car and the car met it's fate with the stobie pole.

I've driven that car a number of times and it is a beautiful car to drive with an sexy exhaust note from it's aftermarket exhaust. The original owner has been paid by the Indian bloke and is now in the market for an F430.

As for the 26yo, don't know whats going to happen or if the Indian bloke will get any money as the car is still registered and insured in my friends name and it was not supposed to be test driven.

I think he can claim insurance one way or the other, hopefully anyway.
