Few new mods going in will update with before & after dyno

Xtreme Rotary Headers, SMB hiflow Cat, Borla Exhaust, Protuner Dyno Comparisons
Hey people long time no see.
If some of you remember i made a post sometime last year in regards to getting the racing beat revi dust+intake combo and microtec LT-10 tuned and installed in my car last year, and posted up a dyno sheet.
Anyways i have decided that i am letting go of the micro tec and going with Protuner with Hymee, tuned by Tim down at RX8-specialties, he worked with rohan from xtreme rotary.
Anyhow main reason for the swap from microtec to protuner is the ability of the protuner to fine tune my rev limiter and after consideration and consultation with Tim is that i believe remapping the standard ecu may be a better option then a piggy back.
Anyhow currently i have on order from the US
-Borla Exhaust System
-RP Supercat High Flow cat
and from Xtreme Rotaries
-Extractors
This will all be installed and tuned with protuner software by Tim.
I will update this post with the before and update dyno sheets when i get the results
The parts should arrive 1-2weeks.
My car is an auto (flame suit on)
Current mods are:
Magmaflow Exhaust (im just sick and tired of this one really)
LT-10 (I must say Simon from Promaz really did not do too well with the tune on this one)
Racing Beat Revi, Intake + Duct
AP Underdriven Pullies
Promaz Ignition Kit
Yellow Top Battery
(Suspensions which isnt important here)
In terms of oils, im currently running
-Motul 5w30
-BP Ultimate
So yea will update with Dyno, who knows i may/may not be disappointed,
but decided to take the plunge here and give some real time information for people out there, so in future (especially in aus with long delivery and all)
To have a informed decision on their purchases
Everything is now done, the car feels great, the updated dyno sheet is now on the 3rd post, 3rd pic.

The Promaz tuner kit uses the Bosch Coils and X4 Coil Enhancer
Anyways just ran a few dynos today to test Microtech v Stock
Ive gotta say im bitterly disappointed.
I'll post up 2 dynos
The first one was what Simon took of before and after, said 14rwkw increase
The mods that went on at the time were:
- Microtech LT10
-Rev Beat CAI + Duct
- Agency Underdrive Pulley
I did not expect much power at all out of the CAI and Pulley so id presume that it was a prob 10rwkw increase from tune alone... so all is well and good.
Recently as i posted i wished to change the setup
Now if you look at Dyno 2.
This is a seperate Dyno with the LT10 in.
After testing with 5 attempts with the ECU on and OFF there was a total peak difference of 0.01 RWKW, yes 0.01.
The car was extremely rich and was really unpleasant to drive.
The Lamda results were interesting too, though i dont have it on me.
Does anyone have any clue on wth went on with the tune?
Anyways update of new mod list:
RP supercat was a no go, because the pipe was 399usd, and shipping to my door is 350usd =/. I simply refused to pay over 75% of cost of part in delivery
So instead i am now purchasing a SMB metallic Cat, Its being made up now and delivery in 7 days.
Well that was my rant
Now the updated Dyno Sheet is on the 3rd pic, even though we still havnt hit the 100rwkw mark (yes yes auto blah blah)
But look at that curve now, it feels great!
Tim at rx8 specialities believes we can definately get 100rwkw when we revise the tune in a few days!

no that is with the LT10 put in, with their tune.
I dont have the stock tune on me, but car ran after 5 runs back to back of 0.01 decrease in rwkw.
So the tune gained a total of 0.01 rwkw over the stock ecu, without the ecu relearning the fuel trims

Still not sure what you mean . The 1st dyno looks like it was done in a different gear than the 2nd - and the 2nd dyno looks like it it was cut off before redline because power does not drop away like in dyno 1 .
As far as the tune goes - it's the int-x . Probably went out of tune due to temperature changes - the x is known to fluctuate a lot :duno:

The Xtreme Rotary and Borla Exhaust has gone in... It sounds amazing, almost sound stock in idle, and no drone at all, but comes out loud at WOT
On a side note, the SMB hi flow cat, DOES NOT fit a auto, arggggg more delays

:O, tofu did Tim end up getting anymore feedback from cobb about becoming a pro tuner for the AP?
...and like brettus said...install thread with prices and where you purchased your stuff!

If he can't help and you end up with protuner let me know , I have experience with PT on my turbo 8 and am happy to help .

Thanks Brettus,
The turbo deal fell through, so i have jason from REVS done in SA, whose car is going into Tim and Rowan next week with a knightsport supercharger kit and also the official distributor of Knightsport here in Australia. Giving me pointers to Tim ( my mechanic) in terms of install and tune
I was able to locate that supercharger kit instead, so lets try something new
Knightsports Supercharger kit :D

Its a centri supercharger.
Anyways got the car back after first set of tune.
Gained about 5.4kw at wheels, but man look @ the new curve, it just feels so much better!!!
Noise wise its really different too
Updated Dyno Sheet on first post!
