A few questions??? Any one help???

hello

i just need a few questions thats needs to be answered

1. anyone know any good and cheap and reliable sites to get mazdaspeed parts.
- japanparts.com or mazdastuff.com any good or any other site you recommend?
- any recommendations for who could help me fit the parts once i get them, must be in VIC.
2. i went to dealer today at city mazda VIC, and i asked them about warrenty problems if i were to add some mazdaspeed parts to the car, and they said if anypart of the car is changed or moded in anyway (even just bodykit), the whole car warrenty gets voided, is this true???
3. is anyone bringing thier 8s to autosalon next year
4. supercharged rx8 275hp already produced by mazdaspeed, showed on the road and track mag, anyone know where i could get the actual mag or knows any details about it. NICE new ms bodykit btw it was totally sick...

thanks in advance

hey mate

1. taka will be able to tell you where, just be aware that you may not be able to put cheap and mazdaspeed in a same sentence :o (hint: taka is mr. mazdaspeed aftermarket parts specialist :D )

2. im 99.5% sure thats crap. putting a bodykit on a car would not void the entire warranty, he/she's BS'ing. for example, if you install lowered springs, you will only void the suspension part of the warranty, so for whatever reasons you have problem with the engine, it will be looked at/repaired/replaced under warranty. can someone pls confirm this

3. im sure you will see more 8's at the autosalon next year

4. send road&track an email and most likely they will send you a copy (after you paid for the mag/postage etc), or do a google search....... do ask me how.... i suck at doing it myself :o

good luck and have fun, pls let us know how you went with your "shopping" :D

City Mazda have also said similar things to me in the past but I prefer to go to Brighton Mazda anyway.

I will quote this from Brighton Mazda, "Warranty is only voided when a modification to the vehicle directly affects the problem part".

For example, if you add the MS Bodykit :D and your transmission fails, the transmission will still be under warranty but if your rear bumper falls off it's your problem.

The "void whole warranty" thing is BS.

atridge summed it up pretty well.

Subaru is strict(er) with their warranty.
A mate took his WRX to three different dealers in Sydney and was told any modifications will void ALL the warranty.

That is actually not legal, as far as I know. I hope he doesn't have a tow bar or mad flaps fitted. Or put in a set of K-Mart mats. Or had window tinting done. Or paint or underbody protection.

It is all about being reasonable. And that applies to both sides.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I forgot to mention that the items in question were of the performance enhancing variety (ie boost controller, exhaust, intake, etc).

Hi This is Taka and welcome

1. I dealed with Japanparts.com and they are good and very reliable but they are not cheap. About 5% over Japan's RRP and ship by EMS. But they will get your parts in less than 20 days. Takakaira.com is apparently good as well.

I know someone to paint and fit bodyworks in Box Hill and someone to do mechanical work in Mitcham. They are extremely good.

2. Please shop around for Your 8. If you go to City Mazda, mention Dr. Chan to him.

3. AMUSE was in this years. No one else is interested - it is so lame. Tokyo Autosalon is 100x better. I like Jap girls. :D

4. You want a US supercharger - go for it. I want Hymee's :D

PM me and I can give you my contact off air

Yes it is JR. Rex is very good there and my wife knows Maria.

Their paintwork is great. I did not paint the factory kit with Mazda, I painted it with JR. Better, and cheaper to fit. City Mazda used someone in North Melbourne that mismatches colour on my Integra before.
