Winning,
Love the pics, especially in comparison to the STi.![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have an STi at the moment (black) that I will be swapping the RX8 for, and the pics show how beautiful the 8 is compared to the boxy impreza.
Mind you, I wish I could keep both!

So the colour does match the Rx8 as it has kind of call for attraction nature look ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hope you can do a comparo for the two cars, since you got both cars the same times. If you already did one but I missed it,plz point me to where that thread is,thx.

I say it reminds me of a shark and a dolphin, RX8 being the dolphin and the Sti being the shark. The Sti is brutal and it just keeps on pulling and pulling!! It is all about brute force, just like a shark. While the RX8 is not brutal as the Sti, but it moves gracefully. It is more alive and dynamic just like a dolphin.
On the road or race track, one is a sprinter and the other one is a dancer.
The Sti is faster and has more power, but the RX8 is faster and a lot sharper at the corners. At the end of the day, because of the power and torque, the Sti is still a faster car, but it will have a very difficult time to win.
The RX8 is easier to live with, as it has much better build quality and more inviting interior. It looks much better, I never get tired looking and admiring the nice curves and lines.
The Sti is not the car you want to drive everyday, it has a very hard suspension and crappy interior. I personally like the menacing look. It is the kind of car that you have experience at least once in your lifetime. I never regret owning the Sti.

Thanks for sharing your opions with us.So it confirms with what most ppl say regards to the harsh ride of the STI,but everytimes I see one on the road,it kind of displays that intimidation that no other car does. The other car that I can say has the same type of characteristic is the HSV GTS.Also I like your way to sum up the cars with sharks and dolphins, and it seems very appropriate with the way the two differs.I thouroughly enjoying this comparo from you.Oh incidently I just started reading the comparo of the 350Z,RX8 and the STI on the Motor magazine.Any one of these is a great modern car.

I'm surprised that there's so much difference in performance noted by users of the different "premium" unleaded petrols. I must admit to being the sort of person that just pulls up to any pump and picks price number three!
I'm going to be a lot more particular in future. It'd be nice if Mazda would stick their neck out and state the best local petrol to run the RX8 on, saving us all a variety of individual unscientific tests - but I suppose that would get them off side with all of the big bad oil companies they didn't pick...
This thread makes me wonder whether there's a potential for a petrol station for "sports cars and enthusiasts", selling higher octane petrol, top oils, etc. I'd probably go there - even if there was a modest premium to be paid in price as long as it was handy... A boutique petrol station.
