OK. We've got Winning, ausRX8, DMRH, TitaniumRX8, and me as definite starters for Sunday (14th Sept). That's five gorgeous cars!
How about PDU, Kev, and richwu? Are you still keen?
Are we picnicing? Lunching in a restaurant/cafe? Meeting for a good show off session and a drive?
Anyone got suggestions for a landmark in Palm Beach to meet - remember it could be packed at Sunday lunchtime?

Sydney Meet : details posted here
Friends,
Sorry for my absence recently. I've been rather bogged down with work.
Anyway, I am posting the document I promised with the details of what time to meet at Palm Beach and exactly where on the headland. There is plenty of parking space at the Northern end so we should be fine even if, as you mention mysysd, it is packed on the day.
I am looking forward to meeting you all and putting faces to all those forum names.

By the way,
The attached doc is actually a PDF file. This was the only way to get the file size below the 100k limit for posting. When you've downloaded it simply delete the .doc file extension to rename the file to 1stSydneyRX-8Meet.pdf
You will need Adobe Acrobat reader or similar to view the file.
Thanks,
P.D.U

I second that msydd. Very enjoyable. By the way msydd still trying to paint cheetah stripes on your winning blue using photoshop:D
Thanks PDU for organising the day and run.
Cheers, Ray.
P.S. Tried richwu's method of coding the new ignition key. Spot on. Works perfectly. The key must add atleast 15hp

Thanks PDU for organising it... now I can't wait till the next meet up.
on the way back I was just thinking windy road ----> Royal National Park Down south very very cool road and very windy!!! Just a thought for the next trip :D
Just for the one who missed the activation of their customer key.
require 2 sets of key which came with the delivery.
1. put in one set of key and turn the car on (don't start it)
2. wait until the immobilizer light on the desh turn off, then take it out.
3. repeat step 1 and 2 with a different set of key.
4. lastly put in that special key and turn it to ON position and wait till the immobilizer light turn off (take about 2 hours) and then the key is coded!!!
oh I mean 5 second =P
anyway have fun guys. Great to meet you all today!!
thanks again PDU to organise today event.

Some pics from today's meet
aus rx8, Titanium RX-8, richwu, msydd, DMRH,
Thanks to all of you for making today a great start to what I hope will be regular events that will grow in attendance.
As Titamium RX-8 has already validated richwu's method of encoding the rotary key, I think I will encode mine this evening. Love your work richwu !
DMRH, thanks for bringing those Japanese brochures along today and for sharing your extensive knowledge of all things rotary. I hope you get your RX-8 in time for the next meet.
Here's a selected few pics from today. If anybody would like high resolution versions (1280x960 dpi, approx 600kb each) I will be happy to send them if you drop me an email. I have a few featuring the people rather than the cars.
Until next time...

sco,
It could have been the RX-7 that joined us.
No, they are there from the boy racers who like to drive at high speeds around the car parks at night.
Back to the RX-7 though, it's an SP2. A very rare beast indeed as I learned today.

Thanks P.D.U for organising a great afternoon. It was good to see you guys in person and a nice drive around Church Point. Could be expensive for me though, Vicky sure did like some of the houses we passed (not to mention the young enthusiast in the baby seat) . Looking forward to the next meet, and to ordering some gadgets from DMRH's brochures.

sco,
Here's a pic of the RX-7 SP2. A fantastic looking car, all factory standard except for a 110 Litre carbon fibre fuel tank (!)
I didn't get one of the DMRH's Cosmo. Did anyone else ?

Great pics of the cars lined up guys! I would have loved to come down from Newcastle for the day, but unfortunately I am up in Brisbane at the moment for work. Hopefully I can make it to the next day and add my sunlight silver to the line-up!
