The "Fly Hymee & Co to Sydney" fund..!!
Calling all cars!
------------------
For those of you who have not recieved a PM from me on the topic, I've decided it's time to thread this [ there's been a few of you I can't put location's to ]:
Are you in Sydney?
Have you ordered yourself one of Hymee's "Grill Kits" yet?
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=15204
If the answer is "No" then I'm here to tell you, that you should ( no I'm not on a commission [yet] ).
It's a bloody gerat idea - There's plenty of support to the "Hymee Grill Kit" ( see the posted thread links in the thread forum above for folk who've purchased it, intalled it and now rave about it.
Anyway..
If you have ordered one, I'm hoping you would be interested in joining a group of us in Sydney who are looking at helping Hymee fund an invite we've extended to Hymee, for him to fly down here to Sydney ( he's accepted the invite and is planning to bring his wife and two kids too - date yet to be set ) for a weekend with flight and accom to help us all install our Hymee's Bar and Grill "kits"?
I'm thinking that a group of us doing it under the close eye / watch of the maker himself might be a good idea.
I want to make it absolutely clear that I'm not soliciting your support for any other reason than I think Mark's [ Hymee ] grill idea was just pure genius, and frankly, as someone who's more accustomed to life flying an Apple 15" PowerBook G4 for a living, I'm paranoid installing it [ the grill kit ] my self and stuffing it up!
I'm sure we won't need to put much in each to cover it - stay tuned for details in Hymee's thread on the topic.
I've like to invite all and any to post either expressions of interest, questions or confirmation of your support.
Once we have the cost and date details we'll post them here for all to reveiw and comment on.
If you're in Sydney and up for a night drive, let's catch up and plan this - see the following thread:

Cheers,

ps: hijakers will be shot on sight!

pretty poor showing from the sydney folk to be honest, I was really expecting a really hot show of hands here for the idea..
how about you guys [ sydney siders ] get on board, we aren't talking about much money here.
otherwise Hymee, just delete this thread and I'll drive up there to catch up with you and trade y'all those pizza's and pepsi instead.

I just got off the phone from my mad mate Michael Tanaka, and he's in for the works..
He's just paying today for his HBGK and is looking at installing mid Jan 04 - so I'm wondering if we should plan that far ahead and have a mid Jan 2004 install day.
That should be enought time for y'all to recover from your investments in T'shirts and xmas! to afford a few extra bucks to get Hymee and co down here to Sydney town?

ps: hymee's in this forum at times that even I have to go "what the?" - and I only sleep 3.5 hours an night!

Can someone tell me what sleep is?
Mid January would be the best time. You guys let me know what you want to do. I'm quite happy (read keen) to come down and meet ppl and fit grills. Maybe I'll just bring my son. He deserves a treat. He just won age champion at his school swimming carnival today, and he gets an academic award at school break up next week. Sorry - Hymee is a proud as punch
Or maybe if you drive up here Dez when we have the Dyno day, and you can get to check out a Hymee exhaust as well!
Cheers,
Hymee.

Mid Jan would be better for me too. I'm tied for so much of the near time.
That said - mine's going to be a fiddly install, beause I've also got the front air dam to fit. I'm 99.999% certain the gap is identical though.
If it's best to leave mine out of the fitting spree, I'm ok with that - but I still want to be with the crowd for the get together.

Somehow I missed this earlier but I think its a good idea as between Dez and I we'll probably bugger one of the two up ... But I'll be driving up to Qld early Jan so would prefer to fit sooner ... but can wait till Mid Jan if that the generally preferred date
