FS: Mazda Rotary Oil.

Have recently purchased a twin turbo RX-7, so I'll be using a full synthetic from here on in.

I have nine litres of MRO to sell. One unopened five litre pack, and one with four litres. No shipping, no separate sales, pick up only.

Located 10km east of Melb GPO.

$80 cash, not negotiable. PM me for address details....or ask Taka nicely to pick it up for you, he's just around the corner.

This is way under cost, stock up and save.

Pic of empty bottle below for reference only:

Nice to see that you have entered the rotary darkside , Dont tell me you have purchased a series 8 RX7 Spirit R Type A

Surely you are not going to use the RX7 AS A DAILY DRIVER ?

Have you still got the series 3 RX7 ?

Pics details

Cheers

Nope, not a Spirit R....they're a bit too try hard for my liking. Red brake calipers, limited edition badges (one of 1500...not really limited).

I bought this from Japan (it arrives in a few weeks). It's a 2001 model Series 8 RX-7 RZ.....one of 175 built. Twin turbo, factory kevlar Recaro's, Snow White Pearl paint (a-la RX-8), factory BBS wheels, most of the fruit. No sunroof, no cruise. It's done 15,000k's.

It's had 12 dealership services since new....the Japs love their RX-7's. I have all the logbooks etc.

Including all freight and compliance etc.....cost is less than a new RX-8, and it goes like stink.

I still have my 1984 Series 3 RX-7, but I'm about to sell it. Yes, this Series 8 will be my new daily driver.....nice cars are made to be driven.

I'll PM you my number and you can call me to arrange pick-up.

Mazda made 69,000 RX-7's in this shape.

Only 175 came in this colour.

I wanted one of those 175, and I believe I've purchased one of the best available.

Hey Steve, nice car would love to see it in the flesh (metal) sometime in the future.

The interior looks perfect as does the whole car from these pics.

First Steve.. nice + congrats.. last legendary purpose built FD.. I was reading ur post how u mentioned u dont like those painted calipers and special badges.. i was expecting u to say u bought an ordinary series 8.. but then u rolled out "RZ" I was like.. right -..-" special edition.. in white.. with those red carbon kevlar recaros.. and those BBS.. and that red RZ writing next to door handle.. i think that would catch some attention !

hm.. i think it has Bilstein and bigger disc too.. in fact this is the one with most fruits.... lucky bastard !

What i also want to know is rather these series 8 FDs offer more leg room ... I would've bought a FD.. if there are more leg room.. as my knee hit the tiller (i am 6 foot 1) .. when i tried a series 6... not possible to drive it comfortably track it. i am hoping the later series offer more room..

After your PM to me Steve I notice u are ... very close to me i think.. may I book a passenger joy ride when it lands please !

*I also notice something... the rotary oil bottle has "Castrol" on it.. did Castrol made OEM rotary oil.... ? I just went outside to my garage to see.. but my doesnt say Castrol.. its just a slot like yours.. but with no brand.. mm... " *

Spirit R RX7 were made in 3 lots of limited and numbered lots of 500 Type A 500 Type B and 500 Type C IN TOTAL 1500 .

A is the most sought after then B............ C is an Automatic

Good luck in using your car as a daily driver , they attract a lot of unwanted attention from car thieves , so i hope you can keep a good eye out for yours .

Cheers

That's a nice car, Gomez, and that looks to be a mint example. Great buy!

The only issue I have found with the FD is interior space (may be better without sunroof) which even I found quite cramped relative to the RX-8

Can only add my drool to those above.

Congrats and enjoy. If those things had four seats I'd be mightily tempted - rotten kids!

Agreed. Saw an E-Type the other day and thought the same thing. Some cars just have those classic lines...

Much as we all love the 8, wouldn't it be nice to see another hard core 7 come out of the Mazda factory...

We had a big gathering of classics in town last weekend. On the way home I followed an E-Type convertible. Beautiful car.

It is all about a car that looks like it has been designed rather than just engineered.
Mazda design cars, Toyota engineer them.
Both the RX-7 and RX-8 are designed.

Not in this climate.

The manual specs 10W30 for summertime driving.

A lot of other people also believe that Mazda made 500 of each, but I'm willing to bet quite a lot of money that that isn't true. People have jumped to the conclusion that there are 500 of each because it's a known fact that all 1500 are numbered and they made three types.

I've emailed Mazda Japan twice asking them to clarify the build number/type breakdown, but they've declined to answer.

It's my belief that there were 1000 or more Type "A"s, and I doubt they would have made more than 100 Type "C" automatics. The Type "B" was a four (leather) seater, ie no kevlar Recaro's.

Thieves....yes well I'll be keeping it well secured (garaged) and well protected (electronically) when it's not garaged. It'll also be well insured .
