A funny thing happened to me the other day...

Alternative title: "Why I like being the driver"

OK - Time for me to 'fess up. Last week I was doing testing with L&L. He was driving the his car, and I was in the apssenger seat driving the MRDyno and my Laptop hooked up to diagnostics.

Well - When I am not in control, and not focussed on the outside world, I get motion sickness. After a bit of driving, I needed to take a break to settle down. All OK. An hour or so later when we were doing some more testing, I had to get L&L to pull over so I could have a 4KQ*.

I did most of the driving after that.

The wierd thing is I can do all the MR Dyno and Laptop stuff and drive all by myself. The difference I need to pull over to make notes etc on the laptop.

Ah well. I suppose that means I might have to change my title to "Race Speward" Hehehe.

Cheers,
Hymee.

* - 4KQ is Brisbane rhyming slang for "Spew". 4KQ is a local AM radio station.

Hymee

Your self disclosure of the drive day events amazes me as u wanted that kept a secret between ourselves.

However since you have mentioned it , the scene was quite funny seeing Hymee turn as green as the "INCREDIBLE HULK ".

BUT SPEW LIKE A PREGNANT WOMAN WITH MORNING SICKNESS .

Hymee quickly recovered and lost none of his appetite by lunch .HE HE HE

Maybe it was his way of getting me to let him drive my car Hmmmmmmm.

At least if we ever go out on the town , when things settle down i will know to bring a large Bucket.

cheers

Hymee using a laptop in a car isn't a good idea. I tried writing a magazine article in the back of a car in northen California, and felt very bad indeed, but managed to keep it in. Which is more than my mate did when it was my turn to drive back down the twisties on highway 1 to San Francisco - he must have covered half the hillside - made my holiday!

Cheers

Old War Story time ....

Years ago when I was involved in Forest Rallies, it was quite common to find Navigators ill in between competitive stages, the victims of poor ventilation, heat, fuel and oil fumes and twisty roads.
The most amazing sight I ever saw though was arriving at the end of a competitive stage to see the car ahead still in control with both doors open and BOTH the driver and Nav spewing theirt hearts out !!
Needless to say the control officials were happy to have us drive a little further along the road to complete the paper work !!

Hymee - for what its worth, my recommendation, having tried everything from chemical to herbal and all between in my years of navigating - is to keep the fresh air coming - almost forced induction from the vent if possible !!
