Garage Sale

Buying new wheels and moving house soon so I've decided to get rid of some spare stuff.

I've posted ads for my stock wheels and exhaust here:

https://www.rx8club.com.au/forum/viewforum.php?f=16

I'm also tossing up whether it's worth keeping my stock sways. Undecided but if anyone wants them for any reason make me an offer and I'll think some more.

Also have the stock gear **** floating around somewhere but the silver ring around the top is a bit scratched. Might be worth something to somebody...

Thanks for the tip Eric.

I didn't think to offer them to other owners as they're not exactly in showroom condition. I assumed the 3 and 6 owners would be in the market for unscratched examples.

To me, their best use in their current condition would be as spare track wheels for semi-slicks, etc.

Do you reckon it's worth the effort to join another forum, etc?

Are all the wheels scuffed up, or only two of them?

Er, some are better than others but I believe all bear witness to some degree of less than perfect driving.

What can I say - I'm talented.

Talented and adventurous. I admit to being neither....mine are all unmarked after 40K....

If you have trouble moving them, I'd be interested to buy one as a spare.....maybe others will ante up if I toss this out there as an idea??

Just lip damage?

You're not trying hard enough 'Mez!

Might be something in that idea of selling them separately. I've already had another guy ask me for just one. Anyone else keen?

Three have lip damage only. One has a scratch along one of the spokes. From a short distance they look okay - as I said they just don't bear close inspection.

Gees, better have a closer look so I can be accurate about this. Don't want to mislead anyone - they are what they are.

Most tyres these days, including the 040's, are directional, so you should only rotate front to back, same side. But then sometimes in trying to avoid obstacle, such as shopping trolleys in u/g car parks, you can curb the RH wheels

Yep, garage is a bit exxy though!

Tried to take some shots of the wheels yesterday after washing the car but the digi camera has died. Thought it was batts but nup, after charging them again it will only let me view existing shots. Soon as I swivel the **** thingie to camera mode it dies.

Will attempt to sort this out soon and post some piccies.

Is your camera a CANON?? Mine did exactly the same thing to me....took it to the CANON man and he said it was the image sensor......got it all fixed and now the battery is charged so I can post some shots of Max.

I usually take the tyres off and rotate them on the rims.....gets more life and less feathering......then they go front to back....but not many people can be bothered I spose to do this.....
