Talking Gate crashed Z4 BMW PARTY

Took my baby for a drive thru surfers and main beach , the amount of ***** is awesome , yes its schoolies week for two weeks kids in year 12 ARE OUT THERE PARTING THE NUMBER OF HOT LADIES IN BIKINIES I WISH I WAS 18 YEARS OLD AGAIN , dream on hey , going towards tedder avenue main beach (This is were all the could bees would bees and everithyng from your local drug dealer to your 2 bob hookers hang out , however its agreat spot to be seen and see some of thecoasts best cars , low and behold i wittness a convoy of at least 12 Z4 BMWS , driving past together with a few other bmws , must admit it was a great site , not one to miss an opportunity i fired up my rx8 and followed , i could not get in between them as they were driving in a close formation , but most people gawked at all the cars some yelling out GO ROTARY POWER , not supri singly my rx8 got as much attention as the 12 bmws put together , i was temted to be a bit of a lad but soon realized the boys in blue were out flyng the flag so i behaved myself .

It would be great if we could have our own rx8 glory drive day around the gold coast one day but it seems hard to organize everione seems to have too many commitments this time of year.

Had a z3, so the z4 was never high on my shopping list at new car time. It became obvious to me that form had become more important than function at bmw.

Had a 323 coupe in the 80's that I loved ... maybe the new 6 will lift bmw's game - we'll see.

Talking

KEV

Owned a burgundy/red( BLACK MANS ***** ) BMW. 635 csi automatic but , gave it to the wife who drove a mouse coloured gemini when i meet her , and i bought a mercedes 380 SL IN SILVER ?BLUE HOWEVER WHEN MY FIRST BORN SON CAME ALONG THE 635bmw WAS REPLACED BY THE mazda 626 STATION WAGON 7 SEATER .
From memory the 635 bmw was a reosanable car but parts and running costs were higher than my 380 SL Mercedes.

Now that i think of it no wonder my wife found me a good catch , heck after 18 years of marriage i now would not buy her a new 645 BMW , love or sexual lust gets the best of us .

But i had a long apprentiship and did not settle down till i was 33 years old.so i should not really complain .

Funny, my wife and I got cracking at about the same point. I remember when she was pregnant with our first ... instead of doing the nursery thing, I'd put down so much slot car track in the "intended" room that we both had to sit in the doorway to race. Plus I was always having to put her car back on the track coz her tummy was too big for her to ever do it

surely 12 oh them in a row was a marketing event right?

perhaps a national rx8 fly in is in order..?

I for one would like to get more than a couple of cars in convoy for a drive..
