Z88M,
I'm reading the article as I reply to your thread! :D :D :D
Apparently Michael Stahl was pretty impressed with the RX8's efforts and commented to the organisers that the little Wankel was circulating at a respectable pace considering the calibre European thoroughbreds and its lack of power compared to those GT2's, GT3's & 360's
Its one thing to have the power, but if you aint got the Kahunas to use it.... why bother at all!!!!!!!
I reckon we need a contigency of RX8's on one of these special events where we unleash the scream of the mighty Wankel!!!
Here are some pics,of that memorable day!!!!

Gibbo,
Get onto Luke Oneill's mailing list www.eventsoneill.com and you will be advised of future Drive days or email me your details and I'll get you registered.
check out http://www.eastern-creek-raceway.com/ should be able to down load a registration form. With the Australian racing drivers club, you can enter supersprints and drivedays out at easterncreek for as little as $80.

I know Luke and goes to his drive day in Sandown from every time. People can join me next time!! Well organised and relax event. Open format still in Melbourne. I am sure Luke and US!! want to keep it that way. I think Sydney started a rotational format and still work well. I think he should give more dates and keep the number down.
Supersprints are cheap but you are mixed with A LOT of hot up Lancers and WRX hoons who just not keeping his car on the track. You only get 4 runs (for $100) which is nothing. I did 240km on Sandown on my Event ONeill day which is 90 laps. 2 tanks of petrol and 1L of rotary engine oil :D
The RX-8 there is owned by a gent named David... Luke told me that he was interested in RX-8 modifications and I sent luke this website's URL. hehe :D

TAKA,
half the fun is kicking *** out of those WRX hoons, you'll find most of them are only quick down the straight when it comes to the twisties they S%$# themselves!
I agree the Events Oneill drive days are awsome, especially when your amongst the calibre of machines that attend these days.

Agree half the fun is to see the 360 Challenge Stradale running, who is the constant attender in Melbourne.
Next one in Melbourne in fact is 16 Nov and all 6 of my friends are going
