I'm thinking to move to Australia... I'm sooooo faithup with the cool weather and snow here in Canada....
I saw a job in my field in Australia and I was wondering what's the average salary there?
Cost of living?? how is it?

My wife is from canada. I dragged her down here to live with me
Salary is dependent on who you are working for and how much demand there is for your skills. Don't forget the exchange rates also as there was a time when the AUD$ was only half of the US$.
Be warned however, everything costs at least 3 times more than north america, and 3 times the choice of goods. When I was in Canada in May, I was stunned at the range and prices of goods.
Still, for all my traveling over the last 20 years, I still think Australia is the best place to live. Weather for one is the best, very mild here in Sydney. Sure beats leaving your car in the garage because of a blizard!

I think the weather is amazing even I am in Melb :p
No snow here in winter unless you hit the slopes.
Life is simple enough and I spent at least 1/3 of what I normally spend in say Hong Kong and Macau... I just have a much simplier life in here... very peaceful.

You might like to try the "Big Mac" Index: This has been developed by The Economist magazine to get an idea of relative purchasing powers.

I'm currently on business in the USA. Yes, some things can be cheaper, but you can't spend your life shopping. Americans are by and large nice folks, but I know where I prefer to live. Can't wait to get home to drive my car onm the proper side of the road. And can you imagine what all that salt and snow does to your car.
Brisneyland, here I come!
