You don't have to go and find more RX8's, they will come and find you.
What you do is go ahead and make up an event and post it up and start to promote the **** out of it. Give your selfs plenty of time to organise and promote the event and start advertising it with the Rotary shops, speed shops etc. When you see an RX8 around town stop and give them some info on the event you are running.
The first thing you have to do is set a date for the event, that tells people you are committed to going through with it and not just talk about it.
I would be keen to organise a bigger event up here in the North Island, probably some where around Taupo - central North Island, so that we could get more people to come along that aren't prepared to travel up to Auckland.
Good luck and if you need any info, just ask.

One thing you will find out is everyone wants to have the event, but no one will want to actually organise it.
The best way to get your event up and going is to organise it yourself.
You will see once you get started, that it can be quite a lot of fun to do the organising.
Google earth/maps is your friend.
Have fun.

All good. I'm gonna put my hand up for this one then. I'd hate for the summer weather to pass us by without at least trying to have some kinda RX8 Road Trip. So far it seems Akaroa is the best suggestion so I'm going with that but my 1st question is should I try and book a restaurant for a lunch (seeing as the fish n chip place is now gone) or should we wing it? My personal opinion is that it's best to book but I have no idea if people are wanting to pay $25+ each on top of petrol. Oh and keep an eye out for a proper thread about this...

I'd still be keen to do some kinda RX8 drive (doesn't even have to be big)
I could even try and convince Wifey to take the 8 while I take the 7...
