The reason some of these guys have given you a hard time is because they cannot come to terms with the fact that you picked the best colour for your RX8 YELLOW ,HA HA HA .

Believe or not most of the forum members who have lasted a few months are quite helpfull at times , they just enjoy giving people a hard time , its called RX8 PECKING ORDER .

My wife whos a phychologist allways has said that there are some very interesting types on this forum .ha ha ha .(Myself not included )

As they say Dont let the BASTARDS get you down .

cheers
michael

skc, it has been noted in some other threads that though the tyres brand new are quite good they do tend to deteriorate quite quickly and can give you that tail happy handling. Considering that it's probably a tyre deterioration probably I don't think tyre rotation will do much to improve the tail happiness.

Apologies if your welcome was a bit harsh, but perhaps you might consider how your entrance to this forum might be judged, objectively. IMHO, you used the 'big swinging dick" approach, and met with the typical response. :o

Me? I took one look at it and came to the conclusion that another, perhaps long standing participant, had created a new identity and was winding us up. I'm still not convinced that isn't the case

Give him a little break. He is finding his way, and we leant on him. He appologised, and you still gave it to him...

Now - it is time for all to kiss and make up.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Timbo, i do not believe my thread is the 'big swinging dick' approach.

I didnt start this post to act in an unordinary manner. Just thought i would post my 'view' of 'my' rx8. Every one has there opinions towards their cars and how they evaluate/ test/ seek its ability and the over all package. I was merely stating what i have been through with the Rx8. I was looking to see if there were any reasons to why such things occured eg. replacing the diff.

All i recieved was forum members looking for a way to say something negative.

Hymee, thank you. Much appreciated.

RNS, were those healthy speeds achieved on the Buckett's Way/Thunderbolt's Way during one of your Sydney trips?

Many on the forum, from moderator down, know that such speeds and greater are possible on stretches of that road - putting no-one at risk bar the driver.

Most of them who u believe were looking for ways to say something negative are actually just giving their oppinion on ur quote "Max speed seen with 3 people aboard and full boot load was 230km/h and still pulling"

i am not going to say that its impossible because i haven't tried that myself and prob would never do... not even on a racetrack if i have 3 ppl on board. but in my oppinion, from watching numerous videos, reviews, articles and books on the 8.... as well as the fact that i've used up to 6000 revs on 6th gear and was no where near that even tho i was alone in my car. (that was unsafe... but i was merely testing it out on a 1 time basis) i just don't see it happening unless there was some kinda downslope. but i could be wrong of course. they got on ur bad side because they thought u were telling complete utter bs. maybe u were estimating or guessing, they just didnt see it. but u'd have to admit its quite unbelievable. most of us know or have a pretty good idea of the potential of the 8

anyway, with all that said. welcome to the board. i've had alot of help and advice from quite a few members in this forum and many of them are friendly and willing to assist when they can. so u might enjoy this forum in the near future
