don't appologise for having a rack at home!

I've lived by the rule that a decent garage is for racks, not cars! not even my RX8 displaces my racks of gear - it's relegated to street parking * poor thing *

sure, if you're running a home based data centre, you probably have what it takes to work in our comercial versions * grin *

pepe:

I really lurve those little monsters.. we pop 'em into little black chasis from our good pals at AusPCmarket.com.au with slim line cdrom drives and use them for every thing from cheap think clients, through to remote sensors for SNORT et al.

The fact that you're running Win2003 on it.. well.. at least it's a computer.. I dare you to stick a FreeBSD, Darwin, or even worst case a Linux cd into the thing one day and leave the dark side..

For my money you should run Darwin.

I think it's the streaching manouvers that are the root of your issue's * grin *

ps: L&L - did you say you're turning 50? that's an RX8 fly in excuse if I've ever heard one! There has to be a day trip middle zone Bris/Gold Coast/Canberra and Sydney folk can drive to for your b'day.. and no, it's not that god awful Leyland Brothers failed adventure park!

YEAH I AM TURNING 50 IN DECEMBER . any excuse to have a party ,my rx8 was an early birthday present from the wife.

Great idea would be to have a 50th rx8 drive day party on the sunny gold coast , leave your desk , computers and taste the real world of sun surf sex and beer , heck at 50 you have to ENJOY life to the maximum .

The more the merrier , the gold coast is not short on sand surf and many a bimbo who will put a momentory smile on your face , not an everlasting one like the rx8 , but i do compromise from time to time .

The invitation is open as long as u bring your rx8 and your wallet .

1st drink is on me .

So L&L, what's the date? Is that why you prefer the 13th for the next drive?

I think i am the only mug who filled out his profile , being my 1st forum i though that this was mandatory.

Yes i am turning 50 on the 12th of december so it would be great to see 50 rx8 on the 13th of december, cruising the roads.

Imagine that would be an awesome sight.

I'll bump the discussion and see if I can try and get some consensus on a date.

ok,

so we have even further reason for the fly-in, like we needed one anyway..

so is the 13th the date we can all do?

I'm confirmed if it is, I'd drive up on the Friday night, get some local advice on a place to stay and we could rock on for the day driving.. then I'd sleep and drive back on Sunday!

so lock me in for the 13th - can everyone else do 13th?

Trust me turning 50 is no more painfull than 40 its all a state of mind , that said unfortunately when you start hearing of fellow friends and people you no getting heart attacks , cancer , stroke etc makes you realize your not immortal , so i realize that everyday has to be savoured to the best of your ability.

looking forward to seeing some of the BOYS on the drive day , hope you can make it .

I've locked December 13th into diary, lodged my flight plan, got a note from my wife, am juggling the trip's music accross 6 cd's, going mad trying to dream up an RX8 t-shirt idea worth printing.. what am I forgetting.... hmm..... oh yea.. where did I put that cut lunch..?
