Two dealers in Canberra, but commonly-owned = unlikely you'll get a great deal here.

Why don't you contact noojooc in Sydney?

Just went in for service to get brakepads replaced under warranty.

Spotted a nordic green, lucky it was a sunny day, it looked great with the metallic!
But in the shade, it sure is dull.

Because I don't know him! And I have a trade, Sydney was too much of a painful idea. the Canberra guys will certinaly compete against each other, they share an owner but are independently run.

Bugger it, three months is far too long to wait for a car to arrive, and I've got all this cash burning a hole in my pocket. I'm going to cancel my order and go buy a Falcon Turbo or WRX. :p

not.

Dealer rang last night, they've found a Winning Blue in Victoria with 3km on the odo. Touch wood, I should have it in a week or so. Only problem is it's a Nov 04 build date. Does anyone know if anything has changed since then?

There are no 05 build Winning Blues, Strato Blues or Nordic Greens available anywhere in the country.

mine has been on order for a month or so now and the dealer is telling me early June , so hopefully it's close to that. went for the red in the standard cloth model.

Welcome AUSPROP .... you'll soon be enjoying it.

BTW, that's known as 'the lightweight, high performance model'

These are relatively rare

Tim Tam

I recall my car had 14 or 15ks on it when I took delivery -- mainly from it being shuffled from Belconnen to Woden. I suppose there's every possibility it was red-lined 25 times in that short distance...but I prefer not to worry about it.

I reckon if you are getting an 04 build, you should get a substantial discount. After all, that's what the dealers do at trade-in time!

Anyway...good luck and let us know how it goes

No mate, nothing's changed (that I'm aware of...). You will probably have the white washer bottle too!

I got an Aug 04 model with 6km on the dial. It had been sitting in the showroom as a display piece for about 6 months, or so nojooc told me (he made me an offer hard to refuse). Kitted out just the way i wanted at a good price. Had to wait 1 loooooong week for it to be made ready.

and yes, it has the black water bottle.

Mine is a Dec 2004 and has a white washer bottle...

Had 50km on the clock the day we collected the car.. I don't think that it was used as a demo 'cause the demo car was manual.. Perhaps they scored it from another dealer who could not sell it..

Mine only had 5km when I picked it up.

All cars needs to be driven off the factory to the truck, from truck to ship in Japan, from ship to truck in Melbourne, then driven to MA Mt Waverley for checkup and load on another truck to dealer (mine in Melbourne CBD). Think of it, they are lucky that they did not flood my engine

50km is then ok xxup :p

Yes the popular choice does seem to be the leather pack! I don't mind a bit of a wait as I still have my 200SX to drive and sell before then. The 200SX is a FANTASTIC car but alas it is a few years old now and they don't make them anymore.... I only hope the RX8 is as good and isn't too quirky!!

Not that I mean to be the prophet of doom, but my dealer said the factory doesn't start production until June. Next shipment coming in is July at the earliest. I hope they're wrong.

Man...the thing is full-on quirky. Any quirkier and it'd be quirkiest. It's so quirky, the next quirkiest thing is made by Quirks from Quirk City, Quirkalia.

That's why we're here and happy to answer any questions that you will have before and after delivery. We aim to please.

Cheers,
Gomez.

Ain't that the truth! If you want something different RX-8 is it - if you want anything else there is always the Datsun Bluebird! :D

I really struggle to see the value in the leather pack. Aprat from the fact that I hate leather seats, there wasn't much else to justify the 10 grand or so.

I agree, but we would have liked the Xenon lights..

Nothing else in the leather pack interested us... We had fog lights in the 6 and only used them once in two years... Why do you need a 300W stereo in a tiny cabin, when your home stereo does not even have that much power??? The electric seats did not come with memory and are slower to get into position than the manual ones.. If DVD/Nav had been part of the deal, THEN we might have splashed out the extra cash.. :p

Someone forgot the mention the aluminium pedal... very important :p

It used to be 6K difference. I like leather, xenon and bose. So it is easier for me to justify since I will use 6K to do it anyway. :p

Ha ha ha love the way people try to justify why they purchased the poverty pack as opposed to the leather pack .

To me they are like chalk and cheese , Leather pack all the way :p
