Running two identities is just as fraudulent here on the web as it is anywhere else, so it's quite a serious issue. Agree we need the clarification.

Okay, agreed we need clarification but not sure if its fraudulent in a criminal sense.

Depends if the conduct is designed to induce somebody into doing something based upon the assumption that they are two separate people.

Oh, never mind, I don't want to get into a debate about it. I agree at the very least it's pretty poor form and downright disrespectful.

Perhaps we're getting a little carried away here.

Surely the prisoner should be allowed some last words before sentence is carried out.

Perhaps Carl and Ciao can offer an explanation for this anomaly and if people aren't satisfied a quick test could be devised to demonstrate whether we're dealing with two people or one.

gees.... all these IT talk's making me dizzy...

from my very very little IT knowledge..... i thought you get one IP address from one location/one ISP/one login...... so based on that, ciao and carl is one person? or they live together and using the same PC?

it is too tiring.....

internode in adelaide would not have the same end point as their node in brisbane.

With australian capital cities spread that far apart it would be a bit strange that they would lump all of their ip addresses into one big subnet.

My feeling is that Carl is Ciao, or else, Carl is a good friend of Ciao and was staying at Ciao's place when he logged in and made his posts.

I have 10+ computers at home all on a static ip address, If all my family members posted here then it would seem that there were lots of Azza's using false names. I also log in from work and sometimes, and very seldom <shhhhh don't tell anyone...> from my neighbours unsecured wireless networks.

Carl tried to take the heat during the verbal stoush I had with Ciao over the safety of Hymee's mufflers.

I'd like to know the IP address of three post legend Marlew too......

These threads can be read in a different light now.

Hymee's Muffler thread...
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/glass-fibre-wool-packed-mufflers-73446/

Carls first post...in Ciao's turbo thread.

It might not be fraudulent in a criminal sense, but it's lower than a snakes arsehole given the nature of Carl's posts during the fibreglass packing muffler saga.

I sat on a jury in a rape trial. I had him pegged on the second day of evidence. Eight days later, the foreman and I managed to convince the twelfth juror of his guilt......he's now serving the fourth of his five years.

Dish out the summary justice..........

Silence isn't usually proof of guilt but...I suggest you either explain or 'fess up Ciao/Carl.
