i dont mind using that as a template and modify it (ie. more rounded edges on the sides). im not like some shops out there ripping off other ppl's design and sale for cheaper.

When I get my custom piece done, I would be willing to lend it as a template for a new one. I really think the design I'm getting will look much nicer then the R-Magic piece and the guy doing it has said he won't make more.
I live in Houston, so that might be a problem. But I at least thought I'd mention it.
This piece will have the same mounting issues as the R-Magic piece, though. Looks like you're only going to get around that if you have an injection mold...![Frown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Hey guys, I am already working with a VERY experienced fabricator and will be making the pieces in carbon fibre and fibreglass. The originaly unit did have to be shaved for perfect fitment but looks great now.

oh terrific... please have some plan and price listing before January.
I am going to bring some Defi BF gauges from Hong Kong in Feb. The MazdaSpeed one (with oil temp, oil pres, and water temp) I quoted is about A$1700. If you can get the 2Din under or around A$300. There is significant saving for me coz I get major discount on parts already in stock.
Do you have other guages pod that goes on top from like Fujita eng or RE Amemiya. I only like MazdaSpeed one though :o
I would love to have the RMagic one - but the only concern is reading the oil temp by looking down while the car is doing 180kmh. :o

everything meaning...?
I dunno, MazdaSpeed is too expensive but they have a very nice pod. The oil, water temp and oil pressure guages with the control units are around A$1000 mark in Hong Kong. I am thinking - I am not paying $700 for a MazdaSpeed pod...
Anyhow, we will see.

That's pretty expensive for a few gauges. Could probably do a completely electronic version for around that price and you could have the option of more than just three gauges.
Would an electronic version be of interest to you guys? If the gauges looked like the attached picture?

when i say overall diameter i meant end to end on the face of the guage, which should be the "fattest" part of the guage. :D

oh don't know about that....
sco - I just want the data displayed and I don't care in what form. There is a oil/water temp Defi meter in electronic style but they are just as expensive. The Blitz meter does not have oil temp or oil pressure.
Yes I know they are expensive for the money you put in.
