Some moron once said we were a group which seemed to be "dependent" on each other.. how hell are we dependent on each other just because we like to meet up once a month or so ? Isnt that what a club is about = getting together and such? Some people want to stay keyboard warriors thats their choice.. we like to put faces to names and interact in a humanly fashion. We dont only talk about RX8's, we dont only focus on the car aspect of the club, which goes to show we all have a good friendship amongst the group too. We all have lives outside the club aswell. But I know I am glad I joined, I've made some really good friends!!
Was tongue in cheek when referring to the mortgage Kall.

Actually, I've not seen many arguments between the Sydney guys. It's more a case of apathy I think. They need a bit of revving up before they're prepared to join in on cruises, etc.

Having seen the Victorian club scene online and in person recently, I think you've got a good thing going down there with some lovely people. I can't see that happening here unless or until someone puts a bit more effort into organising getogethers, etc. I think I tend to polarise people because I'm a bit mouthy in here, so I'm happy to sit back and see if someone else is prepared to do it (hello Waldo).

I used to wave a bit but Eric's right - too many tryhards and wannabes in Sydney. They're too cool to acknowledge that you've got the same car because, like, they're so fully, like, an individual.

Best way to draw a few of the regulars out is to organise a cruise. It's not rocket science - name a date, time and meet-up point, identify the planned destination and just see who rocks up. The more lead time you give, the more likely it is to get bigger numbers.

I'll probably organise a few more this year but I'm a bit too busy with other stuff atm.

I'm in for a cruise, anytime

Talk's cheap.

Actually, if everybody who tells me they're keen to attend cruises actually attended, we'd have 20+ cars at every event.

Cheap talk, hmm, not me. I always wanted to take the car on the track, so lets say eastern creek, this week some time?? Or next week, week after, I don't really mind, the thing is anything suits me if I know 2-3 days before. My life style has changed after 2 years of working with no decent holidays so lately i'm free most the time, work goes aside, old interests and hobbies are coming back
